Whoever coined the phrase “I slept like a baby,” needs to have their head examined. Baby’s are absolutely not notorious for sleeping well.
I suppose more accurately, some of them are not. Bailey has been dubbed our FOMO baby since he absolutely will not go to sleep. It was expected when he was tiny, when night feeds and tiny tummies made the waking up every few hours a necessity. Then it was neediness, one of us needing to rock him constantly.
Even as much as I adore my son, I miss falling asleep with my husband.
“Soon, babes.”
“You promise?”
