“You should ask them out,” you said, interrupting Alec’s rant about … well, you weren’t sure exactly but something about Eliot and Parker. Like always.
He sputtered, caught off guard. “What? No! I don’t want to ruin our friendship-”
Huh.
“-Eliot just started-”
“But you admit you love them, right? You would date them?”
Alec kept sputtering.
“You should ask them to do something together. Heck, even your regular ball busting and ‘leveraging’ would work, just call it a date this time,” you said, looking up from the necklace you were working on. “Look, y'all work together, you live together, you know each other. You are family. … You're partners, too,” you said softly.
Alec stayed quiet, working on his necklace in silence, but he didn't tell you to leave it alone either. You took that as permission to continue.
“I wouldn't say this if I thought you all didn't feel the same-”
“They don't-”
“Try. Be the one to reach out. Your bond is too strong to break. Y'all've been through too much to break apart from this … I think it'd make your bond stronger.”
Alec was quiet for a moment. “They could run. I couldn't stop them.”
“They'd come back.”
