The Punk and The Princess

Summary:

So old mate Mr blue sky challenged me to write some ship stories tween Naruto and a few Senran Kagura girls outside of the Drabbles series, ergo here's the first, The Punk and The Princess tells the story of an angry young man who'd swung his fists at any teasing of his single ex biker chick mother, meeting the love of his life, a fair and just young lady Kocho, and the tale of how they hide their love between one another even as they're aware with their school time ending shortly, and being unable to get into the same collage, their time is ending soon, three part story.

Work Text:

Chapter one: Star crossed

He stormed out of his class, pushing by the rabble, on his way to shop, but as he got half way down the snap of a whip far behind him stopped him,

"Care to tell me why I just got a call from your teacher Uzumaki-san?"

Naruto smirked, he turned and faced her, the brown haired beauty Kocho, the Student Council President, and his favourite rival thus far, her whip was in her hand, ready to strike at the slightest misuse of his tongue,

Naruto used his hand to show off the weapons at his disposal, the three Yoyo's at his hip, showing her this tiger still had it's fangs, even after several months as her personal whipping boy, "why don't you guess Kocho-hime." he said with a cocksure grin.

"Still so ready to fight, even after each time I've beaten you?" she asked leaning on her backleg.

"I never did know when to QUIT!" his arms shot forward and twin Yoyo's shot out of his sleeves, sharpened blades spun out of each, as they aimed for her head, Kocho spun her whip, coiling it around the first Yoyo, and her tip swatting back the second,

Naruto barely caught it, before his arm fired it back, at twice the speed, and Kocho raised her leg kicking it into the ceiling, then Naruto grabbed the wire of his extended yoyo yanking it toward him, causing Kocho to jolt forward, she pulled a second whip off her hip only for her to have to dodge a shoe he kicked at her, which allowed a third Yoyo to slice through her second whip, as she was pulled into Naruto's arms, who then grabbed her and threw his whole body launching the two of them out of the window.

They fell for a little, both hit the ground in a secluded area behind the school, and Naruto rose, grabbing Kocho and putting her back to the wall, and then kissed her gently, while she wrapped her arms around him as she kissed him back,

A few seconds later they broke for air, and Kocho snuggled into him, "Sorry" she said,

He snorted, "Please," he said, "I dress like this, I knew I was gonna get it from the start." he said.

"I know," she said, "so what are you thinking about doing later?"

Naruto let a breath out of his nose, "Think.... I gotta get mum's bike from the shop,"

"I'll go with, it's kinda like a date," she said, "closest we can get together with everyone's eyes on us."

"Yeah... sorry"

"You said it yourself, you and I knew from the start what this was, a little secret romance under everyone's noses," she said, "I'm too proper and you're too rough-"

Naruto nodded, "Yeah, if it got out we were together..."

Kocho's hand tightened around his, "We haven't got long together anymore have we?" she asked, "graduation hangs over our heads like a guillotine, and when it hits we'll be separated."

"Less time considering we have to hide it." Naruto added, he felt the urge to swear, but he didn't want to ruin the moment, even if Kocho's angry face was super hot.

Naruto raised his hand, parted her fringe, and kissed her forehead, "We should get back before anyone comes looking for us."

Kocho frowned, she wanted him to stay longer, but she knew, he'd be blamed, he'd get suspended, and their already dwindling time together would be cut shorter, if not outright ended.

"I left your lunch in your locker," Kocho said, she gave him the biggest hug she could muster, squeezing him soooo tightly, before letting him go.

"Thanks" He grinned, "your cooking is the best." then he took her hand and kissed it gently, "I'll be thinking about you, princess."

"Nothing indecent I hope, my punk." she said as their hands drifted apart, and then the two went separate ways,

Naruto was half drifting through his classes, and of course true to his word, his lovely princess was on his mind, dates together played on loop, for in imagination alone could they truly be together.

A curse that lay solely on his head alone, raised by a single mother, an ex punk, people were always gonna talk, even poke at him, but he hated what he heard, about how his struggling mum had failed to raise him some mythical right way, all the boys that were shocked how she was so attractive, and they wouldn't mind being with a terrible wife like her.

Hell just thinking about it pissed him off, so of course he started handing people their asses, making it even harder on his mum, who eventually brought him back to Hakuo women's academy, she'd pulled some strings, and got him a spot in the school,

A troublemaker with a history of violence in a school for young ladies,

Course everything was worth it, all thanks to his princess, the one person who even here saw past the idiot who'd made dumb impulsive mistake after dumb impulsive mistake and saw someone worth loving,

As the bell rang and his classmates left the room Naruto pulled his lunch out of his bag, having retrieved it from his locker,

He looked around, making sure he was alone before opening it, then smiled, the little octo dogs on the well cooked ommu rice with a healthy amount of veggies mixed within,

It wasn't much, sure, but knowing his lovely girlfriend woke up and made this food just for him, he almost felt like tearing up before even taking a bite.

Kocho on the other hand, sat at a table, surrounded by her friends on student council, her eyes briefly on an empty seat on the bench, one which could have been occupied if only she were alone.

"Heard Uzumaki was up to it again," Kanzaki said as she delicately sliced up her meal, "you alright Kocho? I know he's not well trained as us, but he packs a wallop don't he?"

"Nothing I couldn't handle Kan-chan." Kocho said, "besides, he's not a monster,"

"Glad I don't have to deal with him at least," Ranmaru said, as her toy bear butler cut up her food and fed it to her delicately, "that weapon of his would tear my poor bearsy."

Kocho fought off a frown, for a moment seeing herself, being fed by the man of her dreams, one who was no doubt enjoying the meal she'd made him right now.

"Funny, I've had few incidents with him," Chihaya said, "mostly all he's done is fail classes, and ask me for a pencil every so often."

"Few?" Kocho asked.

"There was an incident where he entered the girls bathroom once, but well, school for girls, it doesn't really have a male one, I was the only one there as well."

"That's it?" Ranmaru asked, "I heard he used to get into fights all the time," she put her hands near her face like claws and grinned evilly "like a wild animal, he bit and clawed at all who approached him."

"That's a cornered animal," Kisaragi corrected before accidently spilling some of her cup noodles on her skirt, causing her to jolt up in pain.

"Oh what's the difference?" Ranmaru pouted and crossed her arms.

Kocho fought back a sigh, already she felt the need to find her man and hold him protectively, if only they could just see the man behind the actions, the reasons why he did it, maybe then they'd understand him.

Maybe then she wouldn't have to let him go.

She sighed deeply, but to avoid questions started eating,

There was a little time after lunch, maybe she could find him again, even though she knew she'd likely be too busy with her actual responsibilities to even see him before they left.

And true to her thoughts she indeed only saw him again as he left the school,

Both had stayed back as long as they could, Naruto serving his detention from braking that window from earlier, and whatever he had done in class to warrant calling her to deal with him.

And her expected to lock the gates when everyone was gone, unfortunately Kisaragi hung back to help her, thus the last interaction with her secret boyfriend she got, was that of a stiff nod.

Were it aimed at anyone else, it would've made them think t'was a challenging nod, one that said, "I'll get you next time." but in his eyes she saw the softeness and care she'd long come to expect from him, as he passed her walking with his bike, before hopping on and peddling away.

"He's calmer then I expected," Kisaragi spoke perched on the gate, her legs wobbling slightly due to her natural clumsiness, "I half expected him to try smashing the bike over your head."

Kocho huffed, "Please Kisaragi-chan, even without you here he'd never have been able to." she said reaching for the whip on her hip, only for the phone in her blazer's pocket to buzz.

She retrieved it,

Tailor: Ms Kocho, we need you to come in to 4th st to check your measurements on your new blouse is correct.

Kocho sighed, messaged back, as she used her whip to pull and shut the large iron gates, Kisaragi leaping off and stumbling lightly while Kocho locked the gate.

"Seems I have to go," she said leaving, "see you tomorrow Kisaragi-chan."

The white haired girl bobbed her head, her red glasses nearly falling off her nose, but she just barely managed to catch them. "Mmmhm" she said, then realising her bike was still locked inside the school's gates. "oh blitznak." she muttered quietly to herself, hoping Kocho didn't see her making a fool of herself again.

She looked around, seeing no trace of anyone, and leapt over the gate with ease, unlocking her bike from it's spot, then leapt again taking it over the gate with her, before riding off home.

Kocho meanwhile found a place to change, she'd been carrying a blouse with her for all this time after all, she found a phone booth with no one's eyes on it, and almost like magic was changed in an instant, shoving her neatly folded uniform back into her back, while she straightened up her light blue blouse making sure it wasn't tucked into her black pleated skirt.

Then she rushed off, finding him at 4th st, now wearing an orange hoodie and jeans as he leaned against the wall, his hood up, making his face a little harder for passers by to see.

He looked over at her, and smiled pushing off the wall, but quickly she caught his arm, "Been waiting long?" she asked.

"Nah, just got here." he said with a smile, "so where to? since we should get my mum's bike last,"

"Mmm" she intoned thinking about it, "how about a cafe? there's this new cat cafe I've been dying to try, Kanzaki said it's food is the best, and" she leaned in close, "Kanzaki is at the Gym today, so she won't be there." she whispered.

He laughed, "Alright sounds like a plan."

Sat at the cafe Kocho had a Calico cat in her lap, who's ears she played with, gently smoothing them down, while Naruto leaned back in his chair, a white fluffy long tailed cat perched on the table before him, it was a waiting game, Missy(the white cat's name) was a very fickle cat, and only seemed to approach people at random, but she was a favourite because of her cute antics, but if anyone tried to stroke her, all of her attention would be gone.

She liked people, but only when they weren't paying attention to her, otherwise she'd jump off somewhere, but Naruto was convinced he was close to getting to give her belly rubs,

Kocho just silently watched her boyfriend, nervously wondering if it was finally the right time to give the cat belly rubs as he nursed his milkshake.

Silently snickering to herself as his brow furrowed in focus, as he tried to watch the cat out of only the corners of his eyes.

Missy just licked her lips, possibly trying to tempt him, possibly just wanting a taste of his drink, but he wouldn't break now, not now, or at least not yet.

But eventually he did cave, and as soon as his hand raised above the table Missy had leapt below it, strutting off to somewhere else, while Naruto just looked shocked, "Damn" he gasped softly to himself, "thought that was it."

"You'll never get to touch her fluffy belly Naruto, no one ever will." Kocho said, she wrapped her arms around the Calico cat in her lap and raised it for him to pet, "here, Dusty still loves you, right Dusty?"

"Mew" Dusty gave a smile and an appreciative noise, and when Naruto scratched his head, Dusty purred.

Soothing Naruto of his loss to Missy.

Their drinks soon emptied and they walked on, now to a clothing store, "Here try these on." Kocho said, handing him a bundle of shirts.

Naruto looked through them, "Uh, but they're all just shirts."

"No they're different," Kocho said, she grabbed the sleeve of one, "see this one is cotton," then dropped it and grabbed another, "this is silk" she said, then grabbing the last, "and this is polyester,"

Naruto looked at the shirts, but to him, they all looked the same, "Right" he said with a nod, "I'll go check them then." he said, knowing she just wanted to see him in them.

Two of them got the instant "No" from her, but the third made her smile, one that would've warmed him in a blizzard.

And she decided she'd get the shirt,

Their final stop came all too quickly, but they knew it had to, they both had stuff waiting at home for them,

Thus they entered the mechanic shop and left with an old beat up cherry red chopper,

Both had helmets on, and rode off down the road, much slower then Naruto would've rode alone, not for safety, he was a trained ninja, he could dodge racecars going full speed while riding down the smallest of paths blindfolded with an arm tied behind his back, but with Kocho holding him close, he wanted this to last forever.

But he pulled up a road away from Kocho's house, "Thanks for the ride, and the date Uzumaki," she said getting off, then she knelt down and kissed him, "I'll miss you."

But he took her hand and kissed it gently, "Miss you more." he said,

She smiled, and walked off, while he watched her, waiting for her to get past the gate of her house before he throttled the bike, then sped off.

His ride from the mechanic to her house took twenty minutes, since he'd used a lot of winding paths, but the ride back home only took him five just due to how fast he was going.

When he got home he opened up the garage, and put his Mum's bike in, then he took a small scroll out of his pocket and released his bike from it, putting it up against the wall, before closing that garage and entering the house.

The End.
