Summary
Jayce and Viktor begin as taboo lab partners in Piltover, alpha and omega sharing a bench until caution softens into ease and then into a quiet, nameless closeness that feels like fate. Before that closeness can become a real relationship, their beliefs split. They stand on opposite sides and fight for what each of them thinks is right.
At the arcane incident, they meet in the middle one last time. They both start the same promise to stay together and finally say what they have held back, but the surge takes them mid-word and rips the moment apart.
They wake in different places in an unknown world. Viktor is confused and unsteady, ears ringing, yet already searching for his Jayce, the omega he is drawn to protect. Jayce wakes alone on the cold floor of the Academy that used to be home, disoriented and afraid, reaching for the calm of his alpha and finding only silence. Both set out through the unfamiliar city, each trying to reach the other.
