Summary
Spending time with the Winx had certainly caused all of them to grow a little softer over time – and Brandon, unlike a certain broody guy they all know, meant that in the best way possible – but it was hard to forget years of being taught otherwise. Fairies were living proof that the amounts of bright colours and glitter one adorned themselves with said absolutely nothing about one’s ability to kick ass though, and Brandon appreciated that fact.
Still, soft or not, it certainly came as something of a surprise when Sky sought him out shortly after returning from Eraklyon to talk. Brandon only just managed to bite back his joking remark about punching Valtor in the face when he realised just how serious Sky was about the whole thing, urging him to turn serious as well.
Brandon had already suspected that what had happened with Diaspro still weighed heavily on Sky’s mind, but he’d also assumed that things would turn out okay in the end the way they always did.
He realised now that perhaps he’d been a little too optimistic.
