“Thanks, that hit the spot,” Yagami said, putting the empty cup, still warm, back down on the table. Higashi was speechless. All of the worry. The prep work. The excited anticipation of sharing this with Kaito- all swallowed down by this fucking idiot.
“What did you do?!” Higashi yelled, crossing the room to examine the cup- it was completely empty.
“Drank some tea. Maybe you should have some, too, to calm down.”
“You shouldn't have done that!” Higashi spat. This wasn't supposed to happen. This was the worst thing that could have fucking happened. What was he supposed to do now?
