Summary
Evan doesn’t know, for sure, that Barty’s doing it to wind him up. Barty's a bit of a loose cannon, completely unpredictable. It's one of Evan’s favourite things about him – most of the time, he has no idea where Barty’s mind is, what he’s going to say or do. He likes being kept on his toes.
He's pretty sure that Barty at least has Evan on his mind when he blows a kiss at a group of giggling girls, though. And he’s almost certain that Barty’s doing it on purpose when he winks at Evan over a guy’s head. When Barty has some man caged against the wall, hands too close to his head, Evan gets a swooping feeling in his stomach. That is, until Barty blatantly turns his head away from the man and stares at Evan, a brow raised as if to say, well?
