Summary
There's something about him, Hermione thought. She can't quite point out why, but Draco Malfoy always seems to enter the deepest, darkest recesses of her mind. The general idea of him -- youngest Death Eater known to man, belonging to one of the most influential wizarding families in the country, pure-blooded and destined for greatness turned into an unassuming and quiet student. Disinterested in most anything but academic work. He mostly keeps to himself and his close circle of friends.
He probably doesn't want anyone paying him any mind, negative or otherwise, for their final year of schooling, much like myself, Hermione thinks. This final year, they all got to be just students. Not pieces of someone's game, not hiding nor fighting, and definitely not creating unnecessary rivalries.
So yes, Hermione occasionally thinks of him. Wonders about him really. About what kind of person he is and what kind of person he might become this year.
