The wind shifted. The threads stirred, humming in a low, trembling chorus. Then it came — a pulse through the weave, bright and violent.
Niran’s breath hitched. One thread, brighter than all the rest, blazed across the darkness — alive, wild, burning at both ends like a fuse. He reached toward it, fingers trembling, and the world tilted.
