Chapter Text
Something weird is happening on earthbread, I think.
It's not like I can prove it, it's just my opinion. Cause, more natural disasters has been happening, the mala tribe in dragon's valley is cooling down by the second like Fire Spirit Cookie said, the seas in the tropical soda islands has been unusually rough, the licorice monsters has been stronger then every in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, and many more.
The other guardians say I'm worrying too much about it, I kinda think they're right. But, I can't ignore this. Why is the mala tribe cooling down at such at an alarming rate? How are the seas so rough when it's literally march? That's supposed to be when the seas are at their calmest. How are the licorice monst-
Wind Archer Cookie's thoughts were cut off when he heard Fire Spirit Cookie's voice behind him, it rang through his ears due to Fire Spirit Cookie's pretty loud voice.
“Are you really still being paranoid over nothing? Cause it REALLY seems like it, you know..” Fire Spirit Cookie points out, slight irritation laced in his voice. He loved Wind Archer Cookie, but hated the fact how paranoid he can be about nothing at times.
Wind Archer Cookie looked back at Fire Spirit Cookie who was behind him, he was off guard and didn’t notice him while he was thinking.
”I… Fire Spirit Cookie, what brings you here? Do you not have duties to do?” Wind Archer Cookie asked with a pretty scolding tone. “Geez.. why do you always sound like you’re scolding someone? Did I make the mighty Guardian Of The Sacred Forest angry? Haha!” Fire Spirit Cookie laughed out.
“Fire Spirit Cookie! Could you give me a straight answer!?” Wind Archer Cookie snapped, he was already in a bad moon today from Millennial Tree Cookie lecturing him cause he was being ‘paranoid’.
“Sorry, sorry! Ugh. I’m done with those annoying duties! Alright, windy? And even if I wasn’t, I can finish them easily later.” Fire Spirit Cookie retorted, rolling his eyes.
Wind Archer Cookie sighed, he knew Fire Spirit Cookie was too cocky for his own good, but he just couldn’t change that.
"So did you just come here for no absolute reason?" The Guardian Of The Sacred Forest questioned, his eyebrow raised. Fire Spirit Cookie nodded, "Mhm. You really know how to read my mind, huh~?" He commented with a teasing tone.
"Could you go away? I still have duties to do. Elder Millennial Tree Cookie won't be happy if he sees you." "What's that lazy ass gonna do? It's not like he does ANYTHING..." Wind Archer Cookie shot a glare at Fire Spirit Cookie. "...Fine! Don't look at me like that. But, I'll come back at around 9 PM. 'Cya, Windy!" Fire Spirit Cookie dropped his staff, turning into a spirit and went.
Wind Archer Cookie watched Fire Spirit Cookie go away, leaving him and the forest alone. It was so quiet that you could hear the wind's breeze and the leaves bristling against each other. The strong wind shook the trees, more leaves falling onto the wet grass. The sun was still brightly up, it was 2:45 PM.
He was still thinking about the unusual events, it was similar to the events before the Dark Flour War, a tragedy no cookie still alive at that time could forget. Was it gonna happen? Worse this time?
He should probably drop this before he goes mad.
...Wind Archer Cookie headed towards a stream, seeing a blueberry bird drink the water. He watched in silence, not wanting to scare it away. When the blueberry bird noticed Wind Archer Cookie, it flew away. He walked towards the stream.
The Guardian Of The Sacred Forest stared down at his reflection in the water, he could see a faint shadow of a jester behind him. The shadow's hand slowly went to cover Wind Archer Cookie's mouth, when he blinked, the shadow was gone. Was his mind playing with him?
His grip on his bow loosened a bit.
The sun slowly started to set, the darkness started to get small, spawns of evil falling. Wind Archer Cookie knew that his duties would end for today, cramming his job wasn't the best and he learned that the hard way.
If Wind Archer Cookie was being honest to himself, he's actually getting tired. He kind of hated how he needed to do Millennial Tree Cookie's duties while juggling his own at the same time. He doesn't wanna seem lazy, but wants to rest too. He'd never admit that to anyone, though.
Wind Archer Cookie looked up at the moon, it was a habit of his to pray to the all-mighty witches while looking up ever since he was a kid.
"The all-mighty Witches, I pray for your guidance at your hand. Dear Witches, is it truly wrong to ever defy the elder? Please open my eyes and heart, oh all-mighty. In the name of the witches, the creators, and the light."
Wind Archer Cookie got up from his knees, eyes lowered down to the wet grass. He could pray the same thing everyday, and nothing would change. When he was younger, he asked Elder Sugar Swan Cookie on why nothing would change when he prayed. What he got? A scolding, not even a straight answer.
Were the witches ever really true at all? No.. he shouldn’t doubt the godly creators.
”Who goes there!?” Wind Archer Cookie could feel a presence around, shooting an arrow at the direction. The arrow pierced through the wind, but a ball of flame countered. The burnt-up arrow fell onto the floor.
”You’re extra cautious this time, huh?”
It’s Fire Spirit Cookie again, a smirk plastered onto his face. “You really showed up here again?” “What do you think, weather boy?” Wind Archer Cookie rolled his eyes.
The Guardian Of Flame glanced at the bandages wrapped around The Guardian Of The Sacred Forest’s forearms and wrists.
”How long are you gonna continue this, Windy?”
”It’s not for a reason you’re thinking of.”
