Work Text:

Stiles took another sip. It tasted awful. He had no idea why his father would choose this stuff over literally anything else. But since they didn't have anything else at home, it would have to do. At least it would get the job done and make him forget about everything. Allow him to stop thinking and let him be an ordinary teenager. Even if only for one night. No werewolves, no chimeras. Nothing supernatural. He wasn't even supernatural himself, but still somehow always ended up right in the middle of the next supernatural disaster.

He groaned in frustration and took the bottle to his lips. The liquor burned its way down his throat, but he pushed through it. He squeezed his eyes shut, refusing to give in to the urge to throw it all back up. It wasn't enough; he was still thinking too much. But he also needed air. Gasping, he put the bottle down. He felt sick. The alcohol worked its way through his body, burning everything on its way. But that's exactly what he wanted, to feel the alcohol and get blackout drunk. His chest was heaving as he fought against the nausea, his head spinning. This was good. His thoughts were quiet for once.

A chuckle escaped his lips as he leaned his head against the headrest and gave in to the pull of the alcohol. Just one more sip for good measure.

The door to his jeep flew open. Startled, Stiles whipped his head to the intruder, spilling his drink in the process. "Aw, man," he whined.

"What the hell are you doing?" Theo snapped as he ripped the bottle out of Stile's hand.

"What- what am I doing? What are you doing? Thanks to you, I spilled alcohol on myself. And my jeep. Not my jeep," he whined and traced the steering wheel with his hand. "My poor jeep."

Theo scoffed. "Your jeep is a wreck. I doubt a little liquid will cause any more damage than there already is. You know that. Hell, you repaired your jeep with duct tape. As if that would actually fix anything."

"Alright, alright. I get it. Just- shut up, dude." Stile rolled his eyes. "And give me back my drink, I was using that." He reached for the bottle, but missed it, grabbing at nothing. His vision was spinning. Oh god.

"I think you've had enough," Theo said.

"You're not my boss," Stiles retorted and made another attempt to grab the bottle out of Theo's hand. This time, he did manage to put his fingers around it. He pulled, but Theo didn't budge. Gritting his teeth, he pulled again.

"Stiles, I won't give you your bottle back."

"That's why I'm taking it from you," he snapped back and pulled again.

"Stiles."

"Shut up." He pulled with all the strength he could muster. Theo still didn't budge.

"Stiles."

He exhaled, annoyed, and dropped his hand. "Okay, I get it. Stupid werewolf powers," he muttered under his breath.

Theo huffed. "You didn't really think you could take the bottle back by force, did you?"

"Shut up, dude. I could hope."

"Stiles, you're a human. I'm a werewolf. There is no chance that you could overpower me. I could be injured, and you still wouldn't be able to take that bottle from me."

"Oh my god, would you stop showing off?"

"I'm not showing off. I just want to be clear about this, so you don't get stupid ideas and try something like that with the chimeras. You're supposed to be the smart one, so don't make any dumb decisions," Theo said, clicking his tongue.

"Alright, I get it. Now tell me what you want. Why are you even here?" Theo had awful timing. As usual.

"I already told you. I'm looking out for you, even if you don't trust me.

"If I don't trust you? Wasn't I clear enough last time when I explicitly said that I don't trust you? If not, I'll say it one more time. Just for you. I don't want you to look out for me, and I don't need you to look out for me, Theo. Just leave. Let me be, go bother someone else."

Theo sighed. "I know that you don't think that you need my help, Stiles. But you clearly do need help. Now, let's get you home."

Stiles raised an eyebrow, gesturing with his hand to the jeep around him. "I don't need you to get me home. I'm literally sitting in my car. I can drive."

Theo stared blankly at him. "You're not serious, are you?"

"Uhm, yeah, I am," he said, looking around. "What else would I be sitting inside?"

"Oh my god. That's not what I meant. You're drunk, idiot. Driving under the influence is illegal, shouldn't you know that as the son of the Sheriff?"

"Of course, I know that. But I would have to be drunk to be driving under the influence. Which I'm not, since you stole my bottle from me, before I could actually get drunk."

With a weird look, Theo held the bottle in front of Stile's face.

"You're giving it back?" He asked, confused, and reached for the bottle.

"No," Theo clicked his tongue. "That's not- Jesus Christ. Stiles! Look at the bottle and tell me. How full was it when you started drinking?"

"What do you mean, how full was it? I opened it today, so how full do you think it was, dumbass?"

Theo stared at him, then at the bottle. Stiles put his fingers around the bottle. Maybe Theo was distracted enough to take it back. Possibly. It was worth a try. His eyes flickered from the bottle to Theo's face and back again. He tugged. Golden eyes snapped at him, fixating on him. Feeling caught, Stiles let go of the bottle. Maybe not. He dropped his hand in his lap, playing with the hem of his shirt.

"You're telling me you drank all of this?" Theo asked.

"That's what I just said."

"Then, you're definitely not driving."

"I am telling you. I'm. Not. Drunk," he emphasized each word. "Do I look drunk to you?"

"Actually, you do. When did you drink all of this?"

"Dude, are you kidding me? I just told you. Today," he snapped. "Right before you showed up and decided to ruin my night."

"Are you serious? Alright. Just," Theo ran his hand across his face. "Let's get you home. You might not feel the alcohol right now, but you will soon enough."

"Oh, I do feel the alcohol, I'm just not drunk."

"Not yet." Theo deadpanned and held the bottle closer to his face. "You drank all of this. It's definitely enough to get you blackout drunk."

Stiles looked at the bottle. He blinked slowly. Processing. The last time he drank something was already several months ago. And it's been even longer since he had straight liquor. But here he was. With several shots of Whiskey in his system. Shit. "Maybe you are right," he brought out in a high-pitched voice.

"You still think you don't need me to look out for you?" Theo chuckled.

"I feel fine. Totally fine"

"For now. Come on, scootch over. I'll drive."

"Do you even know how to drive?"

"Of course I do, I have a car in case you forgot. Never drove a jeep, but how hard can it be? It's still a car. Just bigger. Right?"

"Dude..."

"Just move over, Stiles."

"I..."

Theo clicked his tongue and pushed him.

"Ouch, ouch, okay, okay. Chill out, I'll move," he said and stumbled into the passenger seat. His movements felt sluggish as he awkwardly slumped down in the passenger seat. He blinked away the dizziness. Okay, maybe he was drunk. The car door slammed shut as Theo sat down in the driver's seat. Stiles watched him carefully as he adjusted the car seat. This was a bad idea.

"Are you sure you can drive?" Stiles asked again, worried about his car. And his safety.

"I'll manage. Now, buckle up."

"Buckle up? Why would I need to buckle up? I thought you knew how to drive."

Theo turned to him, exasperated. "Just buckle up. It's the law, idiot."

"Yeah, I know that, but..."

"Oh my god." Theo reached over him and grabbed the seatbelt.

"Hey- hey, alright, I can do it myself, you know."

Theo ignored him as he secured the seatbelt with a click. "Now, let me figure this out."

"I thought you said you knew how this works."

"I do. But every car is different."

"Oh my god," Stiles muttered as he watched Theo turn the key in the ignition. The engine hummed to life, causing his seat to vibrate underneath him. He fidgeted with the hem of his shirt, anxiety rising inside his chest.

"Could you maybe not?" Theo asked.

"Not what?"

"Do that?"

"Do what?"

"Just- settle down. You're distracting me."

"I'm not doing anything!" Stiles snapped.

"Yes, you are. Your heart is beating like crazy, and it's not helpful."

"Oh, alright, sure, let me just not have an anxiety attack."

"Thank you."

Stiles scoffed. "I was being sarcastic, idiot. I can't just turn it off. That's the thing about anxiety, you can't control it. Or do you think I choose to be anxious all the time?"

"Well, try to calm down or something. Why are you even anxious right now?"

"Oh, I don't know, Theo. Maybe because you don't know how to drive and sit behind the wheel of my beloved Jeep? Just a hunch, though."

"I told you, I do know how to drive. Now shut up."

"But-"

Theo clicked his tongue and reached out to him. Pressing his hand over Stiles' mouth to silence him. But he also covered his nose, cutting off his air supply. Stiles' heart jumped a beat as his head was pressed firmly against the car seat. Theo's grip was strong. He wouldn't be surprised if it left a bruise. "Ow," he said, but it came out as an incomprehensible sound. Stiles tried to turn his head to see what Theo was doing, but his grip was too strong. He couldn't move at all.

"Mhmmm," he pressed out, trying to get Theo's attention. He could see in the corner of his eye that he was checking all the levers and buttons, looking for something.

"Just, give me a moment to orientate, alright."

"Mhmmm," Stiles tried again. His air was running out, or at least it felt like it. He brought his hand up, clawing at Theo's fingers. Of course, they didn't budge. "Mhmm."

"Be quiet, Stiles," Theo said, sounding exasperated.

His chest tightened, heart rate picking up, but Theo still didn't react. A moment ago, he complained about his heartbeat being too distracting. But now he was too focused to notice that he was literally suffocating him?! He huffed out, angrily. Bad idea. Instinctively, he parted his lips, trying to get fresh air. An idea popped into his head. He smirked and licked Theo's palm.

That immediately caused Theo to pull back his hand, yelping out a "What the hell, Stiles?"

He gasped for air and let out a shaky laugh that turned into a cough. "Dude, I couldn't breathe," he brought out between coughs.

The werewolf was staring blankly at him.

"What?" he asked out of breath, uncomfortable with the glint in Theo's eyes. But a moment later, it was gone.

"Nothing. I just keep forgetting how fragile you are. Since you know, you're a human."

"I do know, but thanks for the reminder. Now, can you drive or not?"

Theo didn't answer; instead, he turned back around and released the handbrake before taking off. Much faster than Stiles would have liked him to. He gripped the door handle, pressing his body further into the car seat. "Alright, alright. I get it. Can you just slow down? I don't want to die like this."

"Live a little, Stiles."

"That's exactly what I'm trying to do. Live. I can't heal, remember? So please, for the love of god, slow down. I don't want you to drive my jeep against a tree."

Theo laughed at that, but did indeed slow down.

"Thank you," Stiles breathed out, relaxing slightly.

"Oh, did I hear that right? Was that a thank you? Didn't think you were capable of saying something nice to me."

"Can't you just shut up and take it?"

Theo stayed silent after that, but Stiles could see his smirk. Stiles shook his head and turned to look out the window. They passed houses and trees, familiar waypoints. But not the ones they would pass to get to his house. They were driving in the wrong direction. Unless Theo didn't actually plan on taking him home. Stiles knew that he should be concerned. He couldn't trust Theo, after all. The werewolf was hiding something. Theo wasn't on their side, even though he pretended to be. Nobody else seemed to realize it, but Stiles could tell. Somehow, he'd always been able to point out the bad guys, although Scott didn't always trust his instincts.

But somehow Stiles didn't care that Theo wasn't taking him home. He didn't even care that he had lied to him. Maybe it should have bothered him, but it didn't. By now, the booze had foggied his mind and calmed his nerves. And that was exactly what he'd wanted, wasn't it? To stop thinking, to stop worrying. To be a normal teenager who made mistakes and got into trouble. Just as he did with Scott, before he was turned into a werewolf. For once, he didn't want to be the responsible one, the one with the plan. He wanted to make bad decisions. Stupid decisions. So what if he was being reckless? He's a teenager. That's what teenagers were supposed to do. After all, their brains weren't fully developed yet.

"What's on your mind?" Theo asked, breaking the silence.

"How do you even know that something's on my mind?" He didn't bother turning towards Theo and just kept looking at the passing scenery. His vision was starting to get hazy, shapes blurring together, turning into blobs of colors.

"You're quiet. You're never quiet unless you're thinking about something. And I don't know if your friends ever told you, but you always have this look on your face when you're lost in your thoughts. So, tell me. What's on your mind?"

"Where are we going?"

"Of course, you would realize I wasn't driving to your house. But I won't tell you. It's a surprise." He could practically hear the smile on Theo's face.

Stiles sighed. "Great. I hate surprises."

"Well, I'm sure you're gonna like this one."

"How do you know?"

"Stiles, just relax. Let the alcohol take over. I can tell that it's starting to affect you. And since you, idiot, drank so much at once, it's going to pretty much knock you out. Especially since you barely ever drink at all."

He turned towards Theo, his head spinning, but he blinked it away. "How do you even know that?"

Theo just gave him a look.

"Theo. How do you know?" he insisted, his words slurred together.

Theo laughed. "First of all, when would you even have the time to get drunk? You live in Beacon Hill; there is always something supernatural going on. Secondly, most of your friends can't even get drunk due to their ability to heal. So, who would you get drunk with? And third, if you had experience with alcohol, you wouldn't have drunk that amount of whiskey in the span of what? A few minutes. You're lucky I stopped you when I did."

"I had it under control."

"No, you didn't. If I hadn't stopped you, I would be driving you to a hospital right now. Do you have any idea how dangerous alcohol poisoning is?"

"I do. That's why I never had alcohol poisoning. My self-preservation skills are incredible, thank you very much."

"I do have to admit, it's rather impressive that you survived everything that has happened. A human amidst the supernatural chaos." There was almost something like admiration in his voice. "Why did you never ask Scott for the bite? It would make you stronger."

"And more bloodthirsty. I know what a full moon does to you, and I think at least one person needs to keep a cool head. Being a human does have its benefits, you know? I don't understand why you werewolves always think you're so much better than everyone else."

"Because we are better. We are stronger, have better hearing, and are faster. Do you want me to go on? Stiles, even you should be able to see that you can't compete with a supernatural creature."

"Well, I'm not the one who can be kept out by a bit of mountain ash. Pretty weak if you ask me." He saw a twitch in Theo's features and the slightest amount of hesitation. "Not so tough now, are you, wolfboy?"

Theo scoffed, but remained silent. Stiles took it as a win and turned back to look out the window. By now, he couldn't recognize their surroundings anymore. Partly because it was getting dark, but mainly because his mind was swimming. He could barely make out the shapes of their surroundings. This was nice. The buzzing of the engine mixed with the quiet sounds of the radio lulled him into a dream-like state. He slumped in his seat, letting gravity pull him down. Further and further, until he almost fully slipped out of his seat.

"Stiles, sit up," Theo said, breaking through his foggy mind.

"Don't wanna," he mumbled.

"Stiles! I need you to sit up."

"You're not my mom."

Theo growled. Without warning, he braked. Hard. The tires squealed loudly. The car jerked, and Stile's body was thrown forward. The belt kept him from flying through the front window, cutting into his chest. His breath was knocked out of him.

Then the car came to a stop. Stiles scrambled to find something to hold on to and pushed himself into a more upright position. His chest was heaving violently, and everything was spinning.

He snapped his head towards Theo and blinked back the feeling of nausea. Theo came into focus. Annoyance was written all over his face, and underneath a hint of smugness.

"What the hell, wolfboy?" Stiles snapped at him.

"I told you to sit up."

"This could have seriously injured me! Or did you already forget again that I'm human?"

"That's why I told you to sit up. It would have been a lot more dangerous if we had gotten into an accident. That could have injured you far worse."

"You're so petty, you know that?"

"Yeah," Theo huffed. "I know. Now, are you going to listen to me?"

Stiles felt like Theo was looking right through him, as if his stupid werewolf eyes had some secret X-ray power. He gulped and nodded.

"Use your words, Stiles."

"Yes, alright? Can you just tell me already where we're going?"

"We're almost there," Theo answered and started driving.

Stiles let himself fall back against his seat. Annoyed with Theo for never giving a straight answer. If Theo actually knew him, like he pretended to, he would know that he hated surprises. Or maybe he did know and just enjoyed getting on his nerves. Either way, Stiles wasn't in the mood.

"Stop thinking so much. I thought that's why you got drunk in the first place.

"I'm trying."

"Maybe that's the problem. Stop trying so hard, you're always on edge. Try to go with the flow for once."

Stiles exhaled. "I know how to go with the flow. We always go with the flow when our plans don't work out. Which is annoyingly pretty often."

Theo chuckled. "Aren't you usually the one with the plan?"

"Well..." Stiles thought about it. "Well, yeah. But it's not my fault that they don't work.

"Usually, a failing plan is a plan that was bad to begin with."

"Well, no. It's not easy to predict something as unpredictable as the supernatural."

"Are you sure that's the problem?"

"What? I don't know. Stop asking me questions."

Theo chuckled. "We're almost there."

Stiles leaned his head against the window, letting his mind wander. He didn't know where they were headed or why. But it didn't matter. Not really. He had no plans either way. If Theo hadn't shown up, he would still be sitting in his jeep in the parking lot. And maybe, just maybe, he would have alcohol poisoning by now.

The vehicle slowed down before taking a turn to the left. Stiles shifted in his seat, trying to get a good look at his surroundings. It was dark and blurry. He moved his face closer to the window, trying to decipher what he was seeing. Suddenly, the car jerked. It caused him to hit his head against the window. "Ouch," he muttered, rubbing his forehead.

He took another look outside. He could tell that they were surrounded by trees, but it was too drunk and he too dark to be able to tell more. That werewolf vision was sounding rather good right now. But that's beside the point. They continued their way down the bumpy path.

Stiles couldn't tell how long they had been driving for. And he sure as hell didn't know where they were or how he would get back home. If Theo decided to abandon him, he was royally fucked. The thought made him chuckle.

Theo turned his head towards him. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. Just something funny that crossed my mind. Or not so funny, actually, now that I think about it. But never mind."

"Alright," Theo said, confused.

His confusion made Stiles laugh even more. He wasn't even sure why it was so funny to him, but who cares?

"You're so drunk." Theo chuckled and ran his hand through his hair.

"Am not." He vehemently shook his head.

"Yeah, sure," Theo laughed. "And you totally did notice that we stopped driving, right?"

Stiles looked outside, then back to Theo, who had crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Yeah, I did notice. Totally. Cause I'm not drunk." He nodded his head to emphasize his words, blinking away the dizziness. Not drunk.

"Great. Come on then." Theo gave him one more look before he opened his door.

A fresh breeze of air brushed against his skin. Goosebumps formed on his arms, causing him to shiver slightly. The driver's door shut with a bang. Stiles fumbled with the belt buckle; it slipped from his hands. He groaned out and tried again, releasing his belt with a click. Ha!

He opened his door, following Theo out into the chilly night. Or falling. Out of the vehicle. And into Theo.

"Whoa, easy there," he said, steadying Stiles.

"I'm good. All good. Thanks. Thanks..." he said, straightening his back, before brushing off his jacket, pretending to be casual. He caught Theo's raised eyebrows, but didn't acknowledge it. "Soo," Stiles said, looking around. "Where are we? And why are we?"

"We're in the woods, as you could probably already tell. And I'm guessing you meant to ask why we're here? You didn't quite finish your question there. But anyway, I brought you here because I thought that I should share something personal with you if I want you to trust me. Eventually, of course."

"What?" Stiles looked around. "We're just somewhere in the middle of the woods. There is nothing here besides trees and trees." He pointed in a random direction. "Oh, look over there, even more trees."

"You wound me, Stiles. I brought you to a place special to me, and you mock me?" Theo gripped his heart in fake hurt.

Stiles narrowed his eyes. Theo was being dramatic, but some part of him seemed genuinely bummed out. "Wait, are you serious?"

"Yes, I'm serious."

"Oh- well then. What makes it so special?

"Come here," Theo said, pulling him further into the woods. "We'll have to walk the rest of the way."

"Hm," Stiles hummed out. He wasn't even sure what he tried to convey and was glad when Theo didn't inquire.

They moved in comfortable silence. Stiles wasn't paying attention to where they were going as he followed Theo. He'd spaced out at some point, his gaze fixed upon the sky. The stars were shining brightly above their heads. It was mesmerizing. Treetops and clouds occasionally obscured the view, but he didn't mind. He stumbled, falling right into Theo. He gripped the werewolf's jacket, trying to stop himself from faceplanting onto the floor.

Theo stopped in his tracks, turning towards him. He raised his eyebrow. "You still not going to admit that you're drunk?"

He let go of Theo, scratching the back of his head. "Uhm, well, guess I am. Kind of."

Theo huffed out a laugh and continued on his way. Stiles followed, this time watching his steps, trying not to trip again. But roots and leaves made that even more difficult than his uncooperative limbs already did.

"Where exactly are we going?"

"I told you it's a surprise, didn't I?"

"Still not a fan of surprises."

"Duly noted."

Stiles groaned out in frustration. "Can you at least tell me how much longer we have to walk?"

"Not much longer."

"Okay, but how long. Like in minutes."

"I would say about 5 minutes. Unless you keep tripping over your own feet. Then maybe 10."

"Great," Stiles muttered. He just wanted to sit down, enjoy being buzzed.

His feet dragged along, and his mind kept wandering. Vision blurry. There was no fun in walking through the forest while drunk. Everything became a tripping hazard. Hazard. What a funny word. He wondered where it originated from. Hazard. Maybe he should look it up. He reached for his back pocket, fumbling with his phone. Putting his passcode in turned out to be impossible. The first try failed, and so did the second. And the third. And the fourth and fifth. He clicked his tongue in frustration and let his arm drop to his side. When he looked up again, he was face-to-face with Theo.

"Whoa-huh," he yelped and stopped an inch before him. "Why'd you stop?"

"Give me your phone," Theo said with an outstretched hand.

"What? Why would I?"

"Because you're clearly too drunk to get it unlocked, let alone manage to do whatever you were trying to do. Now, do you want my help or not?"

Stiles contemplated it for a moment. He did want to know where that word originated from. "Don't do anything stupid," he warned before placing it in Theo's hand.

"Never. Now, what's your code?"

"1122"

Theo looked at him. "Lydia's birthday? You really are obsessed with her."

"Obviously. Did you see her? She is literally perfect. She is smart and really pretty and-" he paused. "Wait. How do you know that it's her birthday?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Who doesn't know Lydia's birthday? It's the best party every year."

"True."

"Now. What did you want to do? Text somebody?"

"No, actually. I wanted to look up where the word hazard originates from."

Theo paused. Staring. "Is this a joke? You're joking, right?"

"No?"

Theo huffed out a laugh, shaking his head. "Alright, I'll look it up. Come on. We still want to reach our destination today. I can look it up on the way."

Stiles shrugged and followed after him. Taking one step after another, his eyes focused on the ground in front of him. He didn't want to trip again. "Did you find something?"

"Gimme a sec." Theo continued tapping on the phone. "It's derived from some French word or something. Happy?"

"Not really." He kicked a stick out of his way. "How much further do we have to walk?"

"We're almost there. I can already see it," Theo answered, handing him back his phone.

Stiles pocketed it and looked around, but there wasn't anything that stood out to him. However, he still couldn't see much in the dark. He had no other choice but to take Theo's word for it. Every step dragged on like forever. Bored, he made sounds with his mouth and tapped his hands against his thighs to create a rhythm. He bobbed his head along with it.

"Seriously?" Theo asked, clicking his tongue. "God, you're worse than a child."

Stiles stopped his tapping. "I'm not. Besides, you're the one who dragged me here. Soo, suck it up, buttercup."

Theo gave him a look. "Whatever. We're here."

Stiles looked around as they stepped into a clearing. Moonlight filtered through the clouds, illuminating the place. Trees, bushes, and undergrowth surrounded them. Nothing special, yet it looked beautiful under the moonlight. He took a step forward, turning around his own axis. His gaze fell upon the sky. In the dark, the stars seemed to shine more brightly. It was hypnotizing.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Theo's voice cut through his thoughts.

"Yeah," he whispered, without averting his eyes. He wasn't even sure why; it wasn't the first time he saw the stars after all. A soft chuckle from the werewolf caught his attention. He seemed relaxed, happy even. Weird.

Theo placed his hands on his shoulder, nudging him forward. "Come on. Let's sit down over there."

Sitting down sounded good. He plopped down on the ground in front of a fallen tree and leaned against it. His gaze went back to the sky. Theo sat down next to him. Silence stretched out between them once more. It was weirdly comforting. The forest was quiet as well. A breeze ruffled through his hair. He shivered. It was colder than he had anticipated, but then he didn't plan on spending the night in the woods.

Next to him, Theo moved, but he didn't pay him any attention. Only when something was placed over his chest did he take a look. Theo's jacket.

"Wha-" he started, swallowing his words mid-sentence.

"You seemed cold."

"Dude, I don't want your jacket." He grabbed the jacket and pushed it towards Theo.

Theo breathed out loudly. "Take it. I don't need it. I'm the one who dragged you out here. The least I can do is give you my jacket when you're shivering next to me. Or do you wanna get sick?" He pushed back Stiles' hand and placed the jacket back over his body.

Stiles didn't fight him. He was grateful for the warmth, even though he would never admit it. But he was sure that Theo could tell anyway due to his stupid supernatural cheat code. Most of the time, he liked being ordinary, but he couldn't deny that being a werewolf or werecoyote or anything other supernatural had its perks. Sometimes it did feel like he was missing out.

He pushed the thought aside and closed his eyes, drifting into a dreamless sleep.
