    In February of 2017, after helping defeat his rival’s former therapist, Akechi Goro woke up convinced both he and Akira’s lives would be better off if they had nothing to do with each other. Knowing how poorly that idea would go over with the other boy, Akechi left Tokyo and left his rival thinking he was dead.

    He was determined to never reach out to Akira again.
