Summary
April 1984. After Kaz’s successful rescue in Afghanistan, the Diamond Dogs are finally ready to make their mark on the world as they take up arms with Cipher in the Middle East. The new PMC must experience its fair share of growing pains, however, as Kaz and Ocelot struggle to manage the sudden influx of young, plucky heroes into the ranks of Diamond Dogs.
Among these eager opportunists is Emma. Still afflicted by her time in the Rhodesian Bush War and struggling to remedy her turbulent past with Kaz, she is forced to find her way in this new age of modern warfare and nuclear peril.
Kaz must come to terms with the fact that there is a new generation of mercenaries that have their sights set on the world: Emma and her brothers-in-arms, the fearless Diamond Dogs that will ultimately be the ones to enforce Big Boss' vision for the future. Kaz must find the courage to let go of his ties to yesterday and entrust tomorrow to these daring yet resilient heroes, these young guns.
