Summary
After Alastor’s battle with Adam, his powers are left all jumbled and scattered. This leads to Alastor’s shadow leaving him and seeking Vox at Vee Tower, where he is found smoking and alone, staring off his balcony, grieving over something that had long been gone.
Alastor’s shadow is clingy towards Vox, sticking to him with every move he makes— and when Alastor arrives to Vox’s door to retrieve his shadow from him, something sparks back their old connection, a warmth neither could explain.“Very well then, explain yourself.”
“See, I have reason to believe you have a little something that belongs to me.” His tail fluttered behind him with vigor that still made him believe he was in control. But when it came to the two of them, control was a line the two were constantly jumping over. “My shadow. I would like for you to return it to me.”
“Hm, but I’m not keeping that shadow of yours captive, far from that. Your little summon came crawling to me, and it seems you’re doing the same thing now. Crawling right back to me.”
or: vox was scared alastor may have died and the two are forced to do a little ‘self reflection’
