“Open the set, prep anti-septic and sterile drapes, get a blade, gauze, bougie, and… #6.0 endotracheal tube,” the words rattled off Caitlyn’s lips as she determined the most likely equipment that a surgeon would need, and which they stocked. The nurse scrambled to get the equipment from the crash cart nearby. The equipment was barely in place, dumped in aseptic technique onto the open set, when a doctor skidded into the room, barrelling in at full speed.
