Summary
Sirius Black starts Hogwarts ready to escape the life his family planned for him, but nothing goes the way he expects. He finds real friends for the first time, stumbles into trouble at every turn, and slowly becomes the ever-loved Sirius Black. As the Marauders grow up, the war outside Hogwarts creeps closer, old loyalties crack, and new ones become harder to admit. Sirius wrestles with who he is, who he loves, and what it means to be himself. Chains of Black takes us through first year and through his life until he takes his final breath.
