   Summary

   Relentless groans of pain. Ear-splitting screams. Whispers of betrayal and hate. Curses of envy for the living.

   Waking from a nightmare she can't shake, Lumine feels a haunting dread for her upcoming mission. Hoping to forget, she spends one last perfect day with Venti before the real nightmare starts.

   Horror becomes reality when she's murdered and wakes up in a twisted mansion with only Aether. Or so she thinks. He laughs too brightly, holds her too tightly, and feeds her something strange.

   Then she discovers he's become a monster, willing to sacrifice anyone to save her.
   But the real monster is Lumine.

   TLDR: The Anemo Archon fails to save their chosen warrior. Denying reality, Aether revives Lumine by any means necessary and creates an abomination. A story about an inescapable nightmare for one and a spiral towards insanity for another.
