Summary:

Eijun loved stars and looking up in the night sky so much that he even works at a planetarium, he never expected that he would end up meeting real life gods. Gods that have powers to grant wishing but there something strange, it feels like it isn't the first time they are meeting but Eijun has no glue way and not just that apparently he used to be a former god.

Chapter 1: The Manison In The Forest

Chapter Text

Two little boys were playing the field of flowers, enjoying their time together laughing together like there was nothing else in the world. It was like the sun was smiling at them with delight. The boys looked so happy to be with one another.

“What are you making?” Kazuya asked, his child hood friend. His friend had been playing around with some flowers turning and twisting.

“I’m making a flower crown.” Eijun smiled. “All done!” He then put the flower crown on the boy’s head and giggled.

“I’ll make one for you too.” Kazuya said but his hands didn’t move the same way as Eijun’s did. His flower wasn’t as pretty as Eijun’s and that made the older boy disappointed at himself.

“It’s fine.” Eijun said with a smile. “I still like it.” Eijun took the deformed flower and put it on his head and smiled, which made Kazuya smile back.

“We’re like princes from a far away land.”

“We are from far away so it’s not far from the truth.”

The scene suddenly changed to when the boys were grown up but the sight wasn’t the happy life they had as kids, it was more dark.

“Ei-chan!” Miyuki yelled, he tried to reach toward his child hood friend but his hands were blocked by others that he wasn’t able to reach him in time.

“It’s okay.” Eijun smiled from across from him, his finger on his lips motioning him to be calm and not do anything but that was hard for Kazuya to do, he tried to break free but he was bound by arms and swords that he couldn’t reach Eijun.

“Thank you.” He saw Eijun mouth his words.

“Ei-chan!!!!!!

Kazuya woke from his dream. It was the same dream ---Over and over again. He exhales deeply. He looks around the room. His ordinary same room. The clock on the south wall. The room was completely dark expect for the glow of the moon beaming into his room.  He panted harder. His dream before more real then even. His seven-year old self was playing with his child hood friend but that happiness changed when they got older and that face of his friend, there was no sadness in them while he was being taken away. Eijun smiled like nothing was happening but that was far from the truth.

Kazuya let out a sight. He didn’t like how he kept on having these repeated dreams. The memories that he wanted to so forget about. Usual gods didn’t need to sleep but he was different he loved sleeping more then anything but he hated the dreams.

His room was the same. It has been the same since eighteen years ago. He had stuffed sheeps and goats on his bed and sofa, they made him be able to sleep. Without them he couldn’t be able to sleep in peace even though his dream came often he was still able to enjoy happy dreams time to time.

“Kazuya!” Kazuya knew that annoying voice, so he chooses to ignore it but even so the door slammed opened and there stood his friend and fellow comrade.

“If you’re here say so, don’t ignore me!” Mei marched inside his room and stood by Kazuya. “You look horrible, did you have another episode?”

“Hmm.”

“It seems you’re not in the mood to do anything as usual.”

Everybody knew about how lazy Kazuya was. He didn’t like doing anything, he wasted his time sleeping. He can fall asleep anywhere and that usual causes trouble for others around him and the king.

“Seriously.” Mei sighed, scratching his head in disbelief.

“Did you get that idiot up!” It was another annoying voice that Kazuya didn’t want to deal with but his wish wasn’t going his way.

“Youichi, why are you here?” Mei asked.

“It’s because you were taking your sweet time.”

“It’s not my fault that this guy is so lazy.”

“Yea, just barge into my room, everybody.” Kazuya mumbled.

“We have to get to work and Kazuya that means you as well.” Youichi directed his gaze at the lazy guy sitting on his bed.

“Kazuya, you might be interested in what we’re going to be dealing with.”

“Why is that?”

“Since it might have to do with Ei-chan.”

“What?!” Kazuya’s head shot up and stared at Mei.

“Your sweet heart has been reincarnation but not as a god but a human young man.”

“What?” Kazuya was confused, he didn’t think something like this would happen.

“It seems you are willing to do some work.”

…………….. ……………..

“Eijun, is this alright here?” Eijun turned to his co-worked and nodded his head.

Eijun was working part-time at a planetarium. It was a job that he wanted to do ever since he was a child. He was glad that he was able to get the dream job that he wanted. Eijun remembered how he got hooked onto the stars when he was a child.

“You’re really good at this.” His co-worker said.

“You’ll get hand of it too. After working here for so long you will know what to do.” Eijun smiled.

“Looks like the people are starting to arrive.”

The planetarium had a show was happening so many people came with their children.

Eijun loved making the people happy with the display they showed. It may not be the real stars and planets in the sky above but it was still pretty amazing that even Eijun was impressed with the planetarium.

“Sawamura, can you check the lights?” Haruno was a friend that worked with Eijun. They started the same time but Eijun was more expert in stars.

“Everything looks alright.” He said.

“Why are you so good at this?” Haruno asked.

“I don’t know. I just love stars.”

“That’s not what I meant. It seems as though you were born to do all this.”

“Huh?”

Eijun was confused by Haruno’s words but she was right since it felt that way ever since he laid his eyes on the stars. He even begged his parents to take him to the planetarium when he was a child. He was glad he did that because if he didn’t he didn’t think he would love stars this much.

“You work a lot more then the rest of us. Too bad that you’re only a part-timer.”

“It can’t be help since I’m still a student just like you.”

Eijun helped with the show and he watched as the people enjoyed the stars in the dark with his children. It was a good experience for kids. He remembers experiencing something like that when he was a child himself.

Eijun pressed a red button and then stars fell from up bove and the children and parents smiled in delight seeing something wonderful. They had smiles on their faces as they experience such an event.

Once the show was over. He along side the other workers said their thank you to the people attending and asked them to come again.

The children seemed to really want to come back since Eijun heard them tell their parents as they left the planetarium.

“That was really fun.” Haruno smiled.

“Yea. I felt like I really one with the stars.”

“There you again saying something like that.” Haruno hit Eijun lightly on the shoulder.

“Is it strange to say that?”

“Not strange but people normally wouldn’t say that, which makes me think that it’s because you’re a star freak.” Haruno laughed.

Eijun laughed along with his friend, but he got thinking why did he say things like that, that he will never know.

“It’s nice and all to work and make the guests happy but I really want to spend time with my boyfriend.”

“I forgot that you actually have a boyfriend since you’re working here most of your time and besides that your attending school.”

“Don’t say it like that?” Haruno looked depressed the way Eijun phrased that.

“My bad.” Eijun said with a tiny smile.

“My boyfriend was complaining the other day that I’m not spending time with him and he is right. I should really ask for a holiday.”

“Well, classes are finishing soon since the holidays are starting soon and it would be great if you didn’t work as well, right.”

“Yea!” Haruno cheered.

“I have to let my parents and Wakana know that I can’t come down for the holidays.”

“You’re not going back home.”

“I can’t right now. I want to work to earn more but it’s not just because I need the money but I enjoy working here.”

“Yea, you really do seem like you do. And everybody relies on you a lot.”

“Yea.”

“What do you do in your free time?”

“I watch the stars at the night time.”

“I mean other then stars. Maybe like hanging out with friends.”

“I spend my time with my school friends but they don’t really have the same interests as me. But it’s not like we don’t get along. We go out for lunch or dinner sometimes.”

“Good. I was beginning to think that stars were all you had in your head.” Haruno sighed.

Eijun couldn’t blame the girl since she was so right about him. Eijun loved stars more then anybody. Stars were like his life, without them there was nothing for him, but he wondered what would happen if he was interested in something else. He shook that thought out of his head, he couldn’t think of him taking an interest in something else.

“Sawamura, have you heard about the recent rumours that been spread among the people.”

“Rumour?” Eijun looked curious by her words.

“They were saying there a mansion deep in the forest. It’s huge and white and covered in vines with flowers on them but it seems even though people see it, they can’t get near the front gates.”

“Huh? Is that even possible?”

“That’s why I said it’s only a rumour.”

“A forest and mansion.”

“Did we even have a forest around here?”

“It’s clean up time.” The manager clapped his hands making everybody get his attention.

“Yes!” Everybody yelled.

Everybody started cleaning up, but while they were cleaning Eijun’s mind was elsewhere. He was thinking about the forest and mansion. Eijun was always interest in those things, well after the stars that is. He was really curious. He loved adventures, a smile creep it’s way to his face.

“What’s with that creepy smile of yours?” Koushuu was his junior at work and always seems the hardest to deal with sometimes since he always gave some rude remark to him.

“”Koushuu, don’t say that to Sawamura-san.” Takuma was always the one who had to stop from his friend from saying anything more.

Koushuu and Takuma were high school students and his juniors at work and school as well since he used to go to the same high school as them. Seidou was a good school and had a good baseball team, when he was there they manage to go to the nationals but baseball was just a sport he took for school, it wasn’t really what he wanted to do.

“Don’t you two have a game coming up soon?” Eijun asked, as he sweeped the floor with a broom.

“We do.” Takuma answered.

“If you are then why waste your time working here. I know how much you tow love baseball.”

“We didn’t have a choice since we need the money and what better way to do it by working with you senpai.”

It was true Eijun was the one who got them hired but he regreted a little since Koushuu always says things that he doesn’t like to hear. The high school students always work the same shift together and are always together since they are child hood friends.

…………….. ……………….

Eijun was heading home but then he remembered the rumour that Haruno was talking about. His eyes went to the direction of the forest that Haruno had mention. He didn’t know there was forest before since he didn’t pay much mind but now he saw it, it was right there.

His legs moved and headed toward the forest. Eijun knew this was stupid since it was just a rumour and he was sure there was no mansion deep in the forest. His feet kept moving deeper and deeper.

“See there’s no mansi--- Eijun mouth stopped halfway when his eyes laid eyes on the exact mansion that Haruno had described to him. It was white and had vines with flowers all over and there was also a gate that was covered in flowers, on the side looked like a small garden pot with flowers of all kinds.

“Is this for real?”

Eijun walked closer toward the gate and he enter inside. The rumours were wrong since he was able to get past it. He walked toward the door. He didn’t know what to do, he lightly knocked on the door but the door opened a little already.

“Does this mean that I go inside?”

Eijun didn’t know what was getting into him but he entered the mansion. He was amazed as he stood inside the mansion, the entrance was huge and there were two stairs leading two ways. There were sparkling chandelier that Eijun could see as he looked up, they were really pretty.

But for some reason there was this strange feeling like Eijun had been to such a place before but where did that feeling come from since this was the first time inside a huge mansion.

He started walking inside and did some exploring. He tried calling out if anybody was here but there was no answer, instead he was greeted by silence. It was a bit creepy but at least the mansion didn’t give that horror scary feeling like in those horror movies that his friends made him watch since they thought it was interesting to the scary reaction out of him.

Eijun then saw a golden door. The door made Eijun curious so he turned the knob and the door opened and he entered the room. The room had nothing, nothing expects for pool that was deep like the sea that was very clear. Eijun went closer and saw his own reflection in the pool.

“I’ve seen this before.”

As he thought about it, his head started to hurt a little bit. Just then he saw a figure in the pool and when Eijun turned around he was faced with a man that he had never seen before, but for some reason he stared at this man and he stared at him back.

It was like Eijun couldn’t look away, there was something about this man. It seems like there was sparkles around them as they gazed at one another.

“Who are you?” Eijun asked.

Kazuya knew something like this would happened when Eijun would be reborn. The god, his child hood friend and his sweetheart wouldn’t remember a thing about him. He was reborn but that doesn’t mean he didn’t look that much different from before.

Kazuya was sadden when Eijun spoke those words but there was nothing he could do. He couldn’t tell Eijun who he was. He didn’t want to see him be in pain like his last life when he was taken away. He smiled like it didn’t harm him but that was far from the truth.

“This is a pain.” He spoke, which made Eijun confused. “It’s difficult to explain everything.” He pushed his hair to the back with his hand, his looked was really of that meaning that he was annoyed.

“What?”

“You’re the one who barged into my home and you’re asking who I am?” Kazuya let out a yawn from his mouth. “I feel sleepy. I want to go back to sleep.”

“Huh?”

“But if I leave you here and don’t do anything the others will get mad at me. Just a pain.” He sighed.

“Is this guy lazy?”

“Kazuya, there you are?” Mei’s loud voice Kazuya be more alert again. The blond then notices a figure that was beside the lazy god.

“Another weirdo appeared.” Eijun murmured.

“You’re that human that roamed inside.” Mei said.

Both Kazuya and Mei acted like they didn’t know the young man since it was only right since the brunet didn’t know them, not anymore that is.

“You must be Eijun-chan.” He said.

“How do you know my name?” Eijun asked, confused.

“I know you since gods know everything, including the people of this world.”

“What?”

“I’m saying that us gods know everything.”

“Huh? Gods?”

“Are you seriously telling me that you guys are gods?” Eijun started laughing at that thought.

Mei knew that would be expected and so he snapped his fingers and a bow of ice-cream appeared in his hand which he gave to Eijun. Eijun was shocked. He thought it was some kind of magic or something but then where were the strings and he just came up with ice-cream and it was cold and it tasted good as well.

“Do you believe me?”

“I don’t know.”

There was something else on Eijun’s mind right now.

“Ne, what’s that?” He asked, pointing to the pool.

“That is called a reflection pool. We sometimes use to grant wishes if we don’t go in person.”

“Wishes?”

“Like I said.” Mei was starting to get tired of explaining it. “We gods have a job and that is granting people’s wishes.”

“Really?”

“You know. You're stupid. I been telling you that we are gods yet that look in your face says otherwise former god.”

“What?!”

“Those stars in your eyes let us know that you are a former god.”

“What are you talking about?” Eijun asked, like he had no idea what the blond was saying.

“I’m talking about the stars in your eyes.”

“Mei, I don’t think he can see it. I think only we can see it since we are gods and he isn’t one anymore.” Youichi entered the room.

“Another weirdo.” Eijun mumbled.

“I heard that!” Youichi yelled. “And I’m not weird!”

“So only gods and goddesses can see those stars in his eyes.”

“Exactly.” Youichi said. “And also the fact that he was able to get near the gate and inside proves that he was the former god.

“This again.” Eijun sighed.

“I am the god of Taurus and am called Youichi.”

“I’m the god of Capricorn and is called Mei.”

Youichi and Mei turned toward Kazuya was silent this whole time.

“Kazuya and I’m the god of Scorpio.” Kazuya yawned.

“Are you that tired?” Eijun asked.

“He’s always like this.” Mei said.
