When Rey passes of old age, Kylo Ren struggles with being left behind and her request that her body be returned to scavengers.
“He had washed her himself, though he allowed Padme and Breha to braid their mother’s hair. It felt right. She had let them play with her long brown hair much as Mother had allowed him when he was a child. She should be having a lavish funeral, fit for the Empress who’d brought Kylo Ren to heel. Rey could have been laid to rest on Naboo, alongside Kylo’s ancestors. She would have been given a ceremony laden with flowers, with the beautiful greenery that she loved so dearly. Their daughters, their grandchildren, could have been in attendance from start to finish.”
