Far from his side, like a swinging anchor, he heard him before he saw him—the thwip of his webs and the landing of both his feet. Johnny ought to have known better. Peter does have a habit of showing up at the most inconvenient time.
Johnny slapped Peter's arm, but the man didn't even react to it. Johnny let his hand linger as he glowered at him again. “Yeah, well, you should have told me beforehand. Now, I just feel like an idiot.”
“Cause you were jealous of nothing?” Peter said smugly with a smirk.
“I’m not jealous,” he glared. “Who says I’m jealous?”
“I just did,” he said. Then he kissed him, and Johnny, helpless, kissed back.
