When Purpled offhandedly mentioned something about himself, he hadn’t thought that their reactions would be so.. extreme.
There was a couple of seconds that could only be called stifled silence, before noise bursted like a firecracker.
Tommy and Tubbo had straight up yelled profanities, calling him a boomer out of everything. Listen, he’ll take insults, but he is not a boomer. Ranboo, the quiet little(tall) enderian he is, just.. stared at him. Looked into his eyes, and everything.
An enderian looking into his eyes. Was the little comment really that serious? Ranboo hates eye contact.
After a couple of seconds staring into those mismatched eyes, they were interrupted by Tubbo and Tommy, who practically jumped at him to force him to agree to decorate his house.
And now, that is how he got in this situation. Boxes of christmas decoration, a christmas tree, some lights and.. the brightest star he’s ever seen in his life.
How is this his life? One day, Purpled mentions not decorating his house, and the next, there’s boxes full of decoration scattered around.
“TUBSO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO GO THERE!”
“IT’S A BOX, BIG MAN!”
And some loud people, as well.
“Tommy, prime, shut up.”
Purpled throws a christmas ornament at Tommy, making the blonde yell while throwing his body out of range.(Dramatic much?)
“Oi! This is slander! Bullying! Abuse! You wanna get charged with child abuse, Purpled? Because I will—”
Ignoring the fact the Purpled is only one year older, the blonde is promptly shut up by Tubbo, as the bee threw himself at Tommy, who was unfortunately laying down at the ground.
A grunt, some screaming, and cries could be heard, but Purpled decided to ignore them in favour of decorating the very big Christmas Tree.
“You doing okay?” Ranboo whispered next to him, leaning forward to cup his mouth. “I know they can be quite a lot–”
“Fine. They’re annoying, but they haven’t destroyed anything yet.” He replied with a hum, grabbing a glittery ornament from a box he opened earlier and placing it on a branch of the tree.
“Emphasis on yet, Ranboo.” He smirked at the other, and the responding grimace almost made him laugh out loud. Almost.
Sighing, Ranboo smiled shakily at him, and he followed Purpled’s example, grabbing an ornament and placing them randomly on the tree.
“We gotta decorate before they find out we’re starting ahe—”
A loud gasp could be heard, followed by another, and then yells of anger.
“RANBOOB! PURPLED! You started without US?!“ Tommy yelled, running towards him rapidly, judging by the loud thumps growing louder.
He dodges the first one effectively—but what he failed to expect was Tubbo, who ran right after Tommy, tackling the two of them, consequently sending all three to the ground in a mess of limbs.
Purpled grimaces at the volume of the two talking right in his ears, and he sighs, accepting his fate.
Somehow, they managed to get his whole house decorated without any problems.
Except for the time Tubbo almost caused a blackout by using too many christmas lights. Or when Ranboo accidentally gave Tommy meat. Or when Purpled—
No major problems. If it went well, it didn’t happen.
Now Purpled is staring at his house, severely over decorated with all the ornaments.
The four of them were getting ready to turn them all on, with Tubbo actually buzzing in excitement, Ranboo vibrating, and Tommy hovering up and down like a kid on sugar crash.
“Guys!”
Three pairs of eyes turned to stare at Tubbo, who was holding a very ominous button that looked like it would end the world. (Yes, he built it in the span of an hour.)
“I’m gonna click the button!” He excitedly said, eyes shining with anticipation and restlessness.
“YEAH! GO BIG MAN!” Tommy yelled from beside him, and he was glad he has the precaution to turn away from the blonde before his eardrums bursted.
“THREE!” Tubbo screamed.
“TWO!” Tommy joined in the chant, and Purpled could hear Ranboo faintly echoing the same word.
“ONE!” He joined in, not yelling, but with no less enthusiasm than the other three.
The light assaulted his eyes, blinding him for a few seconds before his vision returned. It lowkey reminded him of.. what movie was that again? The Stokes? Where the kid put so much lights it was practically a beacon in the sky.
Tommy and Tubbo started cheering, hands raised up in the air like children on a rollercoaster.
“Did you have fun?” Ranboo asked him, a soft smile on his face as he gazed onto his friends.
He was surprised with his response, but he found that he didn’t mind.
“Yeah. Yeah, I did.”
With the echoes of cheering and the light surrounding them, Purpled smiled.
