“Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I told him.”
Todoroki was staring out the window. He could hear Bakugo chewing his food—grinding back and forth in a circular motion like a skeptical cow.
“Tell him what?” The hero snapped.
Todoroki shrugged.
This seemed to further inflame tensions. He wondered what Bakugo was so angry about. What was he always so angry about?
“No, seriously,” Bakugo said. “What would you tell him?”
“How I felt."
The answer felt weirdly like a cop-out. A fact Bakugo seemed to jump on immediately, pressing and clawing at the sentiment.
“And how did you feel? Were you going to ask him out?”
Todoroki made a face.
But why not? He had a point, didn’t he? Why did the idea of dating feel so bizarre but sleeping with Midoriya didn’t? Why did Midoriya’s kisses make him feel like he was on fire, but mental images of typical boyfriend things made him feel limp and exhausted?
Todoroki picked at the crust of his sandwich. “Maybe you’re right.”
“Don’t put words in my mouth.”Todoroki is aromantic. Bakugo is asexual. They are both at least a little in love with Midoriya. WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
