Chapter Text
Hitoshi glares across the circle at Touya and Keigo.
The couple wasn't supposed to be here, but of course, they are.
Why would they miss a party for the underground?
More like why would they miss a chance to get on his damn nerves during a mission.
This is the fifth mission this month that they've appeared at, despite knowing damn well they are supposed to warn him.
Damn idiot lovebirds.
Hitoshi sighs as Keigo spins the bottle, leaning back on his hands and tipping his head back as his eyes slide closed for a moment of reprieve before quiet gasps echo around the circle. He slowly tips his head forward, something twisting in his stomach, and his eyes lock on the bottle that's pointing right at him.
"You gonna come over to my pretty bird, or does he have to come to you?" calls Touya as his head tips to the side, curiosity and amusement sparkling in those baby blue eyes of his.
"I'm not getting up, Staples," huffs Hitoshi as he glares at the older man, annoyed that he can't call him out like he normally would.
Usually, he'd curse the man with his underground hero name, Dabi, but considering he's currently undercover, and those two idiots have chosen to use their civilian names because this was a party they were invited to. Therefore, he can't.
So, he goes for an insult.
He might be spending too much time with Katsuki.
In his defense, he's been crashing on the blonde's couch while his apartment is under renovations for a busted pipe that completely flooded the place and the one below it too. The whole building is on lockdown because other pipes had burst after he'd moved out for the week he was supposed to be gone for.
That was two months ago.
"I'll come to you, Sweetheart," says Keigo in a honey sweet voice that shouldn't make Hitoshi's stomach flutter, but it does.
That's the other problem with these two being here.
His ridiculous crush on the couple always screw him up when they're around because they like to tease him.
No amount of training can keep him from reacting to them when they know every fucking button to push.
Keigo crawls across the circle and plants himself in Hitoshi's lap, wings wrapping around them, almost completely, to block them from view.
"You don't have to kiss me," mutters Hitoshi quietly as he looks the man in the eye, fighting not to get lost in the gold.
"I really do," replies Keigo as he leans in until their noses brush. "But only if you're actually okay with it."
"I'm playing the game, aren't I?" asks Hitoshi as he tips his head back further, their lips brushing with his words.
Keigo's eyes flash with something before he leans in, hands sliding into Hitoshi's hair as their lips meet properly, slotting together in a way that he knows he could get lost in. But he won't because when Keigo doesn't pull away, his tongue sliding across Hitoshi's lip instead, he pulls away instead.
"Get back to your boyfriend, birdie," mutters Hitoshi as his chest heaves, fighting the flutters shaking him from within.
"He's going to be so jealous that I got to kiss you first," says Keigo with a grin that would be infectious, if Hitoshi wasn't already schooling his expression.
Then those wings slide back again, and Keigo climbs out of his lap and crawls back to his boyfriend, sitting in Touya's lap and pressing a kiss to his lips.
Taken.
He has to remind himself that this is just another way for them to tease him, but that's all it is because they are taken by each other.
"Alright, your turn Touya," calls Nova, the person that Hitoshi's at this party for.
The guy is supposedly running an underground network of trading kids with powerful quirks into slavery.
Which is insane considering he's maybe five years older than Hitoshi, maybe. They don't even know his age, he's so off the grid.
"Yeah, yeah," says Touya with a lazy wave of his hand before he leans forward and spins the bottle as well.
Hitoshi watches it this time, watches the bottle spin and spin, turning fast until it starts to gradually slow down. For a second, he thinks it's going to miss him. For a single second, he thinks he's free of them since this is the last round he's playing.
But then it stops in front of Hitoshi, the neck of the bottle pointing directly at him again.
As his eyes lift slowly to meet blues, he catches the smirk on the older man's lips.
"What?" Nova's voice has taken on an edge of pure annoyance. "Are you two rigging the game?"
"Why would we bother with that?" asks Touya with a threatening edge to his voice, though his eyes don't lift from Hitoshi's.
"I don't know, but you two were supposed to kiss me tonight, not some nobody!" exclaims Nova angrily as he stands, stomping his foot as he throws a hand towards Hitoshi.
"Woah," says Hitoshi as he pushes himself up, arms crossing over his chest, as his voice goes quiet and bored. "I'm not interested in problems here. I just wanted to come enjoy the party that my friend said was hosted by the best person around. If you want drama, find someone else, I'm outta here."
"Wait a minute now, you owe me a kiss," calls Touya seriously, not letting Hitoshi take the out that was handed to him on a silver platter.
"If he wants problems, then you'll have to kiss your boyfriend instead," replies Hitoshi with a shrug as he arches a brow at Nova.
"Whatever, I've got someone else coming anyway. We can have some real fun when Mya gets here," replies Nova with a wave of his hand, giving Hitoshi everything he needed to know.
Mya is the transporter, she's known for getting rid of information too, that's what makes her so damn dangerous. She can kidnap a child and all record of the child will be wiped clean, and the child would be long gone before anyone even figured it out. The only way to prove a damn thing is for the parents' files to be looked over by Amoni and confirmed to be real.
Hitoshi won't have to stay any longer once Mya's arrival is apparent.
"Then come here, Doll, I want my kiss," Touya sounds so damn smug that Hitoshi almost wants to hit him, but he can't draw any more attention to himself.
So, he just rolls his eyes and walks across the circle to them, kneeling in the small space between Touya and the brunette next to him.
"Dunno why you want to kiss me so bad when your boyfriend's right there," grumbles Hitoshi as he narrows his eyes at Touya who seems to be fighting back laughter. "But get it over with, I'm ready to get out of here."
Touya snorts as he lifts a hand and brings his thumb over Hitoshi's bottom lip, tugging it out until his jaw unlocks.
That thumb tastes a whole helluva lot like the marinara sauce he was dipping his mozzarella sticks in earlier when it presses against his tongue. But then Touya leans in, before Hitoshi can react further, and kisses him deeply, licking into his mouth rather than keeping things mostly soft like Keigo had.
Hitoshi whines when Touya licks over the roof of his mouth.
He pulls away before he can really lose himself in the other man.
"Nova, have you gotten your kiss tonight?"
Hitoshi stiffens before forcing himself to relax.
He knows that voice.
"Mya, my love, I haven't gotten a worthy kiss yet," sighs Nova from behind him, confirming Hitoshi's suspicion as he twists around, stepping behind Touya to melt into the shadows as best he can.
He knows Keigo and Touya can handle themselves, plus he has to send his text and disappear.
"Come here, my darling, let me give you a kiss to remember," Mya's voice is sweet and filled with love.
It's insane to Hitoshi that she can sound like that.
He's fought her before… A lot more than he should have all things considered, but she seems to love finding him on patrol.
For a moment, he's glad that his hair is done so differently, eyes altered so the purple is deeper, hair a deep red, braided down his back with how long it is now. The dye will come out easy, the eye thing is a fuckin' quirk and won't wear off for 24 hours.
He gets his text sent off and sighs in relief as he starts wading through the crowd as Nova and Mya start making out.
He's done for the night.
Time to get home to Ami and get some much needed sleep.
