NEW CROUCH HEIRESS BORN
It is with a huge heart that I announce the birth of the new child that belongs to the Crouch Family. However, the facts around how this child came to be are less than satisfactory. Though those who like the juicy truth like me will love what you are about to read.
As I am you sure you all are aware, no one in the Daily Prophet punished an article announcing that the crouch family were expecting a new member. This is because no one knew. Barty crouch Sr decided to keep the news about the pregnancy very secret because it wasn’t Barty Crouch Sr and his wife that was expecting the child. No the child belongs to his son, Barty Crouch Jr, and a fellow 6th year that he had a one-night stand with. Yes, a child was born to two teenagers, teenagers who are barley of age. This isn’t even the worst shock surrounding this child’s existence.
On 13th June 1978, the 6th years at Hogwarts sat their 6th year Transfiguration Exam. This included the very pregnant Salina Bogtritter, who had only turned 17 a few days before. However , half through the exam, everything had to be stopped as the professors worked out that Salina was in labour despite no one knowing she was pregnant. The school nurse, Madam Pomfrey, soon arrived and Medi witches, from St Mungo’s, were called for. However, the Medi Witches didn’t arrive in time. Madam Pomfrey ended up delivering the child. But Salina lost to much blood and not even the Medi Witches could save her. The young 17 year old died in the middle of the examination room.
Rest in peace Salina Bogtritter.
It was soon after this that Barty Crouch Jr came forward to say the baby was his. This was of course tested. But when it was confirmed to be true, another 6th year jumped up and started arguing with Barty while tears were screaming down his face. This 6th year has recently been identified as Riley Lestrange. Riley is the younger brother to Radolphus and Rabastian Lestrange. He is very different from his brothers and is very feminine. I was unable to catch a few quotes from Riley but I got the gist. Riley, the best friend of Dorian Bartleby Crouch (Barty’s brother), and Barty had apparently been dating for the past couple years. Which means that Barty cheated on him when he created the baby.
Now onto the baby itself. The baby was born a beautiful baby girl. According to the tradition of the Crouch family, the first child born has to be named Bartimus. But as the baby is a girl she has been named Beatrice Crouch. Betty for short.

Another scandal to Crouch family
Another child has been born to Barty Crouch Jr in a scandalous manor. Though the scandal isn’t cheating on Riley Lestrange as Riley was found dead last September, 3 mouths after Riley, Doran and Barty left Hogwarts. (Turn to page 7 to read about Riley's death). But cheating is still involved.
Yesterday evening, 15th may 1980, the daily Prophet received an anonymous tip giving us some secretive information. After someone investigation and some interviews, we have found out the tip is true. We, as reporters of the Daily Prophet, believe that you, as the public, deserve to know the truth. So in this article, I plan to tell you everything we know about the scandal.
On the morning of 14th may 1980, The Crouch family house else, Winkey, opened the front door to find a bassinet and a note. In the bassinet laid a 2-day old baby girl (making her birthday 12th may 1980). The elf quickly took the baby and the note to her Master, Barty Crouch Sr. Crouch Sr tried to keep this all a secret, he didn’t even contact his sons, Barty Jr and Doran, to inform them, both seemed to have been on a trip together recently. But because of this tip, we know all and Crouch Sr know has to make his opinion and knowledge public.
According to the tip and the note, the baby is the daughter of Barty Jr and a married pureblood woman. The woman’s husband has apparently been abroad for the last 10 months and is coming home today so she can no longer raise the baby. To protect the woman and her husband, we will be keeping their names anonymous. However, we will talk about the Crouch all we want.
With the count of this baby, that makes Barty Crouch Jr the father to two daughters from two different woman. As you can probably recall, we announced the birth of Beatrice Crouch two years ago. (Turn to page 10 to re-read that article of her birth) From reports, the two year old seems very happy to have a younger sister. As all parents and siblings know, I wonder how longer this happiness will last?
I have just been informed by my supervisor that Barty Crouch Sr has announced the name of the baby. The baby girl has been named Regina after one of Barty Jr’s best friends, Regulus Black, who was announced dead late last year.
As more information comes forward, we will try to keep you all updated.
Tragedy strikes the Longbottom’s
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the torture of Frank Longbottom and his wife, Alice Longbottom nee Fortescue. Even after the death of Lord Voldemort at the hands of Harry James Potter and the end of the war, not all is safe in the world.
Late Friday night, 4th November 1981, the Longbottom Cottage was invaded by four people we now know where death eaters thanks to Igor Karkaroff information. The four death eaters believed that Frank and Alice, being aurora’s, knew where Voldemort would be. The two didn’t. The four Death Eaters proceed to torture the poor couple with the Cruciatus Curse until the two lost their minds. At that point, the four fled the scene. Poor Neville Frank Longbottom, the couples one year old, has been left the be raised by his grandmother.
This morning, 6th November 1981, at 3am, the four Death Eaters were captured by Aurora’s and we can know reveal their names to be:
~ Bellatrix Lestrange
~ Radolphus Lestrange
~ Rabastian Lestrange
~ Barty Crouch Jr
The trail is to take place tomorrow But they are sure to go to Azkaban with the traitorous Sirius Black, the cousin to Bellatrix. The Lestrange's have no dependants but as you all know Barty Crouch Jr has two young daughters, a 3 year old and 1 year old, who don’t have a mother. Beatrice and Regina will have to be left to be raised by their grandparents. Dispite Barty Jr having a brother, Barty Crouch Sr has renamed Beatrice as the Crouch Family heir.
Double Death in the family
It's been less than a year since we reported the tragedy of Barty Crouch Jr’s imprisonment but it is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Lady Crouch and Barty Crouch Jr. Our hearts are with the two young daughters who have lost their mothers, their dad and now their Grandmother. Barty Jr might have been a death eater but his girl’s didn’t deserve to lose most of their family. The two girls probably won’t have any memories of the ones they’ve lost but it will still hurt them for the rest of their lives. Beatrice Crouch is only 4 and she is now the heir. Regina Crouch is only 2 and she has already lost so much.
Our hearts are always with them and the other children who have lost too much because of this war.
