Work Text:
Leona knew that something was waiting for him the moment he stepped through Savanaclaw's mirror. He contemplated a quiet retreat back to the Garden, but Ruggie had caught him, and the shit-eating smirk he wore was enough for him to know that there was no getting out of whatever it was. So, he stalked across the lobby, stride languid, gaze low, but sharp.
When he made it to his door, however, his instincts urged him to run. He shoved them to the side because Leona wasn’t no bitch, and so he had to face it had on.
“Sit down.” He hadn’t even stepped in the door before you had commanded him.
You were sitting on the edge of his bed, legs parted invitingly, like it was your throne. And beside you… “Shit.” Was your braiding supplies. You simply smiled at him while patting the space in front of you. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and accepted his fate.
The fate that was your heavy ass fucking hands. As much as he wanted to say something about the ungodly strength that you were using against his scalp, he knew that you’d either wave him off and continue, or call him a bitch. And he wasn't about to become one now, so fuck it, he was locked in (Also he knew that it’s partly his fault because he hadn’t been brushing his hair like he should, so he knew that it was tangled to hell in there, but despite feeling a bit bad about it, he wouldn’t say anything out loud).
Oh well, regardless of it all, he knew that the pain was worth it.
“Be humble.” you told him despite the smile that was fighting its way across your lips.
Leona had not stopped messing with his hair since you finished it. You hadn’t even done anything intricate, just some simple boho braids (after a shit ton of brushing and combing out, which—you were gonna kill him if he didn’t at least start brushing his hair by himself…or maybe he wanted you to do it? Well, if that was the case, then he should speak up—)
“You should do this more often.” Well, think of the devil behind his back…
You raised a brow. “Doin’ your hair or taking care of you?”
He turned to you, “Yea.” showing you his true answer.
That simple word shot through your heart and made its way through your body—rapidly. You swiftly stood and turned around to gather your supplies. Once you were sure you had everything and wouldn’t accidentally drop something and spend any longer in this room that was only getting hotter, you sped walked to the door, leaving him with a single word of your own.
“Anytime.”
