Work Text:

“The other way, idiot,” Sanji snaps in a whisper, pulling Zoro’s gaze to a vegetable vendor a short distance away.

Zoro watches Franky’s hand drop to Robin’s lower back, her slight lean into his side and looks beyond Sanji’s shoulder, “They take watch together sometimes."

Sanji glances behind him to see— swords. He rounds on Zoro, pointing at Franky and Robin, who are laughing, no, giggling.

“You knew?!” Sanji huffs, “and you didn’t tell me?” He needs to find someone to regale this news to, he needs to find Usopp.

Zoro shrugs, now singularly focused on getting past him.

“Wait,” Sanji grabs Zoro’s shirt, “don’t have time for you to wander out of a straight line.”

Zoro meets his eyes and it’s not a glare.

“Do not look at me like that,” Sanji says flatly.

“Like what?”

“Yearning, longing,” Sanji waves his hand vaguely to the air, “call it what you will."

“I’m not— whatever you just said.”

Zoro’s eyes shift back to the sword vendor and Sanji hides his amusement in a groan. With a last look, he catches Robin’s hand slip into Franky’s and slips his own into Zoro’s, “By all means, moss, try to lead the way.”
