“And I'm saying that there was NOTHING I could've done!”
It's been raining a lot lately.
The rain was relentless. Unforgiving, you could say. KAITO was early this time to his bus stop. No one was here, like usual. Only KAITO and Luka took this stop, exactly how they both met.
He doesn't want to admit it, but… He misses Luka. Luka was always so clingy, always clinging to KAITO, giving him nose boops or head pats… Look at them now.
A figure with long, pink hair passes by him as they rush to the other side of the bench KAITO's sitting on. So beautiful… Luka…?
He finds himself stealing glances, looking at that girl and doubting himself every time. No, it's undeniable. Luka and KAITO are the only people who take this stop. She's as pretty as the day he met her… he could forget the unyielding rain looking at her.
“I know you're looking at me, KAITO.”
Busted. His face turned red from embarrassment. Dang, he knew he was not sneaky, but being caught stealing glances this fast? “No need to apologize. I know you miss me.” Well, obviously he misses her! Does she need to twist the knife?
It went quiet. The silence was loud, accompanied with sounds from the rain.
Wait. Why did she ask that? "I know you miss me," what does that even mean? Why bring it up now? Unless...
“Do you feel the same?” KAITO asked. “Well, not really. It's sorta complicated.”
Oof. Well, he should've expected that. I mean, this is the first conversation they've had in 2 months.
The sounds of wet puddles being run over can be heard, and before they knew it, their bus was here. “See you,” KAITO stood up from his seat as he said that, before having a warm feeling blossoming right on his wrist. Before he knew it, it was Luka forcefully grabbing his wrist, silently begging him to not go. Her rosy eyes looked like it was replaying their memories, but before KAITO could respond, the warm feeling dissipated and was replaced with the cold, bitter rain.
“Just forget it.”
