Elizabeth was lost in thought, recalling the sweet memory of her uncle and the innocent man who had given her such a tender gift, when the sound of a commotion reached her ears. It seemed to be coming from Victor's room. Was the poor devil beating some unfortunate soul, unleashing all his rage at seeing Elizabeth slip away from him?
