Summary:
Morgan and Adam pursue a suspect, and end up in a tight situation
Notes:
Day 15's prompt for @thedrabblecollective's November Drabble Challenge is "Squash". Initially, I thought of the fruit (yes, it is a fruit), but I didn't want to go that route, so I came up with this instead. Squashed it is. :)
Work Text:
The suspect jumped over the barrier and dove into the first car of the roller coaster.
“Seriously?” Morgan groaned, shoving past the attendant. “Come on!”
Karadec barely made it into the seat beside her before the lap bar slammed shut.
“This is not protocol.” He glared.
“It is now,” she shouted as the ride lurched forward.
Wind tousled their hair as the world blurred around them. When they whipped around a curve, Morgan slammed into his side.
“Sorry,” she laughed breathlessly.
Somewhere ahead, the suspect was screaming– but with Morgan squashed against him, Karadec forgot why they were there.
