Work Text:
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I wish to see that door ajar
Stuck in the confines
practically at arm’s length
This little star
begs for strength
Distant stars shine so bright it hurts
Makes me wonder if I deserve hearth
I want to see what’s outside this door
But all I’ll probably find
is not for
me
I’ll instead fly
across this void
Prove them wrong
and I’ll shine so bright
but how can light
shine in this plight
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I wish to see that door ajar
My star is unique
but too different to speak
I stretch my legs
but I hit a wall
Why is this place so small?
Once I leave this abyss
the stars’ lights will devour me
A string of myself I can’t bear to see
Something so menial
makes me meaningless
Twinkle Twinkle my Little Star
I wish to see that door afar
