Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Repairs

Chapter Text

The New War.
Book 7: Face of evil

Second Bohandi Empire is in a desperate situation. Just as they began succeeding in pushing back Grey invaders and Superbohandi deviants, a new threat struck. Whatever caused Greys to return is here, and it is not benevolent.
In face of this new threat Bohandi dispatched delegations to Greys and Terron Alliance, hoping to unite against this threat.
However, the enemy struck faster, consuming the Central Command to lose contact with delegation to the Greys, breaking the barrier and destroying planet Terraand the entire Second Solar System.
All that remained from the delegation to Greys is currently aboard their cruiser, BES V’ek alongside a few Grey survivors, desperately trying to repair their ships and return to space where their systems that use dimensional physics would work again…

Chapter 1
Repairs

The Bohandi cruiser BES V’ek wasdrifting through space. Its sunlight thrusters were propelling the ship forward, but they were flickering on and off at random, causing slight changes to the course.
Aboard, the remaining crew was trying to repair the ship as much as possible. Captain Ba’ga was standing on the bridge, atthe engineering station and was trying to divert powers where needed. The hull groan comm with Captain K'oma, who was in engineering, all the time.
– Power is needed in section 9C – K'oma said. – Remove power from section 7e.
– On it – Ba’ga said and attempted to do it. Viewscreen flashed words “Unable to comply. That part of the primary grid is disabled.”
Ba’ga ordered the computer to divert power through the private grid. To this, the computer flashed “Unable to comply. Primary lock engaged.” Ba’ga attempted to override it, but to no effect.
It was strange, especially since that part of the ship was abandoned.
-Ba’ga to K'oma, I have a problem - she said. – Computer flashes me “Primary lock engaged” while no one is in that section of the ship.
–It is from the damage - K'oma responded. - Because of the damage it sustained, computer is messing with low-priority systems.
– Great - Ba’ga said.
– At least it won’t affect engines, weapons and life support systems - K'oma said.
– At least that - Ba’ga said. - Wait, you didn’t say anything about comms…
At this moment, a loud music came through the comms. Ba’ga recognized it as some old human music, for some old game of theirs (like X-kon or something like that).
– K'oma! - Ba’ga shouted. - Shut it down!
– Comms are being affected, captain - K'oma said.
– I can hear it! - Ba’ga shouted. - Now shut it down!
After a moment, the music stopped.
– Get this computer in order - Ba’ga said. - Quickly.
– I’ll get to it - K'oma said.
Ba’ga sighted. Things really were not going well. And how was that old human music available on this ship in the first place?
