The New Wars
Book 6: Lesser evil
War has taken a darker turn! Upon liberating Unity’s Heaven, the Bohandi launched a counteroffensive, trying to reclaim all of their territory. However, even as they were doing so, they were made aware of a new threat coming.
Whatever caused the Greys to return in the first place was coming. And even as they were reclaiming their worlds from Superbohandi and Greys, they had this new threat on their mind.
And now, it’s here. One Bohandi probe managed to send a recording of this new threat before all contact was lost. Because of that, the Bohandi are forced to consider taking unthinkable measures...
Chapter 1
Night falls
Central Command emergency meeting continued.
- Well... What are we going to do now? - Ga'la said after a moment of silence.
- They’re here - Wal'ker said - We have to order all ships to cease all counteroffensives. Recall half of them here. Tell the others to hold their position.
- Will that help us in any way? - Ba’ga said.
- It will help, but it won’t be enough to stop this new threat - Wal'ker said - We need help.
- What do you propose, admiral? - Fa’la said.
- We'll dispatch envoys to get us help - Wal'ker said. - In particular, I suggest we send envoys to the Terran Alliance and Greys.
- Humans and Greys? - Fa’la said. - Why them? They’re our enemies!
- Humans are not anymore - P’rak said.
- We may not be at war, but they’re enemies - Fa’la said - And they are definitely not our friends.
- But I hope they’ll agree to help us against a threat to us all - Wal'ker said. - And Terran Alliance is the most powerful civilization in the Galaxy, even on their own. They also have many allies that might help them.
- I see your point about the humans - Fa’la said. - But why Greys? We are at war. They attacked us, they even occupied this planet. Not to mention, we inflicted severe casualties on them. What help would they be?
- For one, I want to have peace with them, so we can stop worrying about their attacks - Wal'ker said. - Also they’re pretty good scientists. I want their scientists to work with ours to develop new technologies that would help us in our fight.
- I guess that makes sense - Fa’la said. - Who’II go? I would like to come. To do something different for once.
- You? - Wal'ker said. - You were just going against it! How can we trust you with this?!
- I saw why you want this! - Fa’la said. - And I will do my duties to the best of my abilities… general.
