The following manual is strictly reserved for the attention of Scarabia residents* and should only serve as a guideline when Jamil Viper isn’t in a position to take care of Kalim Al-Asim no matter the reason (club activities happening outside school grounds, unavoidable trips, and, following a certain recent event, kidnappings). Do not do more than what this manual indicates without asking for permission** first. Do not do less than what this manual indicates. These instructions are to be followed closely for Kalim’s safety.

* Second and third-year students are called for a meeting the ××/OO at 7.30PM in the lounge room for a more thorough explanation of each rule. First-years are welcome but under no obligation to attend.
** Permission can only be granted by the Scarabia vice-leader. Disregard what Kalim says.

I/ General warnings
1 – Never let Kalim out of your line of sight (cf. Playful Land’s incident). While he can stay by himself, he’ll often do reckless things if left to his own devices. Try inviting him to play games or other group activities.
2 – Do not climb on the Magic Carpet, especially when alone with Kalim. It may seem tempting at first, but only two people in this school can control it and Kalim isn’t interested in doing so most of the time. This specific rule is to be maintained for everyone’s safety.

34 – Even if he’s really convincing, please do not go along with his whims. Even if he says “Jamil will like it”, be assured that it’s a lie. Jamil will not like it.
II/ Food
1 – Everything he needs is inside the third fridge in the kitchen. Kalim knows the password. Only let him touch what came from here.
2 – Minimize his attempts at cooking. While he underwent the school-approved Master Chief training, he needs someone experienced and who perfectly knows his tastes by his side, or he’ll mess up.
3 – If you want to give him something to eat, do not feed him directly; instead, place it in the basket by the spice shelf, so the food can be tested by someone beforehand.
- Kalim will refuse anything offered by someone other than Jamil Viper, even if it comes from a well-known Scarabia student. Don’t try persuading him otherwise.

III/ Miscellaneous

10 – If he looks like he’s struggling with his clothes, or if he has something in his hair, do not help him. Do not touch him. If you do it anyway, it will be known. Jamil Viper does not take responsibility for whatever catastrophe might befall the people who infringe on this rule.
- 10.1 – Hugs are only permitted when Kalim initiates contact but never forget – you’re on thin ice.

100 – The designated representatives of the second and third years should post updates about Kalim’s status on the dorm group chat at least once an hour from 8AM to 9PM (they may alternate this duty).

IV/ Appendix
Following a certain number of minor incidents happening at school, this section had to be added urgently. While the previous sections won’t see much change unless there’s a pressing need or a good enough reason to review the rules, this appendix is under constant revision. Feedback is always welcome (see the last page of the manual).
1 – Under no circumstance is he allowed to go outside by himself. This includes the town (cf. Playful Land incident) and the school grounds. Though he may ask, don’t bring him to Sam’s Mystery Shop even if Jamil Viper is working there. (If questions persist on how to do this, please refer to I-1.)
2 – The only dorm leaders you can leave him alone with are Heartslabyul’s Riddle Rosehearts and Diasomnia’s Malleus Draconia. Pomefiore’s Vil Schoenheit is also advisable provided Savanaclaw’s Leona Kingscholar isn’t in sight. Ignihyde’s Idia Shroud won’t approach him. Octavinelle’s Azul Ashengrotto and Savanaclaw’s Leona Kingscholar are to never be left with Kalim unattended.
- The same goes for their vice dorm leaders (if they have one).

9 – If the general public is allowed inside the school grounds and Jamil Viper isn’t around, limit Kalim’s interactions with outsiders. While we should uphold Scarabia’s reputation as a generous and hospitable dorm, let us not put Kalim in danger.

14 – After what happened during the winter holidays, if an Octavinelle students wishes to visit Scarabia, please warn Jamil Viper as soon as possible.

26 – If Kalim is seen in the hallways right before the bell rings, please contact Jamil Viper so he can pick him up if it’s possible. If it isn’t, do it yourself but keep an appropriate sense of distance. Refer to III-3 if you need a refresher. Talking to him so he stays put is fine and generally accepted.

40 – More and more school events lead outside the school grounds – if you attend one and are in charge of Kalim, remember to bring the manual with you. A later page is left blank so you can write more detailed observations than the ones sent to Jamil Viper as an hourly report. Your hourly reports should still be detailed.
Important reminder: this manual is numbered V.10.7 and is subject to change. If you’d like to submit a new rule or want to amend an existing one, contact Jamil Viper by phone, on Magicam (see below), or in person. Modifications to certain rules (namely I-2, II-2, and III-10) will not be considered no matter how many times it’s asked. Don’t bother.
