This li'l silly comic was cooked in a tiny group chat with the input of two other Marinler girlies in the dead of the night when it was definitely too late and everyone should have been in bed instead of cooking 😬 I promise Mariner isn't just being extra mischievous and grabbing his ass on the bridge out of nowhere 😭, this has lore and she's enacting vengeance 😏

Panel One: Mariner and Boimler, now full Lieutenants with two gold pips, are on the bridge with Lt Jr. grade Casey at the console. The situation seems somewhat tense. Boimler is leaning over the console, brows furrowed, pointing at the screen and saying "Keep the shields up and lock on Phaser. Maintain position until we manage to extract the captain." Mariner seems less concerned, she's far away, hanging back with a slight smirk on her face, observing him intently.
Panel Two: Casey says "We need more power". Boimler starts to speak through his combadge " Bridge to Engineering...EEEK!" as he's cut off with a yelp. Mariner has joined him at the consoles and continues the order "Engineering, divert power to the phaser array." She's tapping at her combadge with her left hand, her right hand is hidden from view somewhere behind Boimler, insinuating she just grabbed his butt.
Panel Three: Casey looks mildly concerned as he looks at Boimler and asks "Everything OK, Sir?" "Yes, please carry on with the order." Boimler answers as he stares Daggers at Mariner, who is now leaning closer to him with her left had on her waist and looking directly at him with a smug smile on her face. The position of her other hand unchanged. "Unbelievable..." Boimler mutters under his breath to her, something only two of them can hear.
Panel Four: The panel is marked "Later". Mariner and Boimler are in what seems to be a dark holding area. Boimler has the collar of his jacket undone, hair disheveled and several lipstick kiss marks on his face and neck. He is leaning towards Mariner exasperatedly and saying "Are you out of your mind? We could have been killed!"
Mariner is looking at a compact mirror in her hand as she applies, or rather reapplies her lipstick as she answers "Except we're still here! Quick thinking, super proud of you." To which Boimler flails his arms around her in disbelief and says "On.The. BRIDGE!?" Mariner keeps applying her lipstick and says "Listen, if I'm dying in a shootout, I'm going out a happy woman."
