Work Text:
"I died before I got to go to parties like this," Isaac said, taking her slender hand, and managing to spin her around. He watched the uncomfortable look in her eyes as words failed her thanks to the duct tape that covered her mouth. She wore a splendid red dress, her hair was tied up nicely.
She was the one who was able to sneak up on him more than once, and he really didn't like that. Before he'd find Pugsley, he wanted to at least spend time with the other who continuously found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
How unlucky for a girl like her.
"I was never really interested," he told her, pulling her close, and recalling a bit of the waltz when he was younger. He was eager enough to create, but his parents wanted him to know how to dance for moments like this. He and his sister would practice together, she was far more interested than he was.
He didn't understand what was the point of it all. And she had arrived almost late, looking around for someone before he had grabbed her, secreted her away so they could dance.
"I think I wasted enough time with you," Isaac said, booping her nose. "I think…we'll see each other again, maybe sometime soon." He shoved her away, and she scrambled to get the tape off, disappearing instantly as he turned away and headed off to find Pugsley.
