Work Text:
Fabbo and Daisy had continued to see each other in secret, even during December, which meant that the most wonderful time of the year was right around the corner.
"You really should be at home with your wife and kids.."
Daisy murmured softly, her breath forming tiny clouds in the cold winter evening. Fabbo and her were lost in each other's arms behind the nightclub, on a tiny, very dimly lit alleyway where no one would be able to spot them.
"The winter season is one to be spent with family.. Do you at all regret being here with me now?"
Despite her very specific question, Daisy didn't sound like she'd be wanting to let him go back home just yet. Because, the more often they sought each other's company, the harder it became to be apart.
"No.. No, I don't,"
Fabbo told Daisy, his hands resting on her shoulders. The love in his eyes was clear, undeniable. And in Daisy's eyes he could see the same feelings which were meant only for him.
"Spending time partying at the club and making out with a much younger woman.. You've definitely ended on the naughty list,"
Daisy chided him. But she did so lovingly and wrapped her mitten-covered hands around Fabbo's waist.
"Believe me, that is something I'm aware of.. But it's good that I no longer believe in Santa Claus.."
he mumbled as he let his eyes rest on the woman standing so close to him.
"I know what I believe in.."
Daisy purred.
"And.. What is that?"
Fabbo inquired, raising his eyebrow.
"Christmas miracles. Because to me it's a miracle that we still get to be together like this.."
She pressed herself a little closer to him as snow once again started to fall down from the sky. Somewhere down the street some lone soul could be heard singing Christmas carols. Both Fabbo and Daisy smiled at each other.
"I know this isn't right of us to do.. But I do really love you, Daisy. It won't feel like Christmas without you.."
Fabbo told her quietly. This was something Daisy already knew, but she really didn't mind hearing it again. Christmas was still a few weeks away, but the most eager holiday enthusiasts had already gotten a decent head start in spreading the Christmas cheer.
"I feel like you wouldn’t be opposed to me kissing you. Am I correct?"
Daisy then asked and looked on with an adoring expression as some snowflakes landed on top of Fabbo's head, sitting there perfectly. The look in his eyes told Daisy the answer she was looking for. And so she stood on her toes, leaning against the love of her life and let her lips touch his.
Soon, the gentle touch turned into something more needy and desperate.
"You talked about love.. Well, I love you too. More than anyone will ever have any right to know,"
Daisy breathed out in between kisses.
"And I never want to let you go."
The evening was cold, but neither of them paid it much mind. Daisy's cheeks were adorably red after the freezing temperatures had been nipping away at them. Fabbo soon removed his hands from Daisy's shoulders and moved them slightly further up, to her cheeks instead, to better protect them from the cold. And then he kissed her again.
They would never know what next year would bring. Even tomorrow was uncertain, but one thing was a given: This moment was theirs alone.
