Summary
Tommy didn’t have a family, not really. He used to, when he was younger, but that was all gone now. Now it was just him, Tommy vs the world. It was fine, it’s not like he needed a family anyway. He was going to be a rockabilly legend, a rock star. Rock stars didn’t need family; they needed music, alcohol and screaming fans, and Tommy would make sure he got plenty of that.
But maybe he wasn't as lonely as he thought, maybe the people still in his life could be his family, if he let them.

Summary
For years Tommy learned how not to look at Määnin too long. To not stare at the crease in his lips when he grinned or linger when their shoulders touched loading gear.
Praise had been his only outlet: his worship, half-masked as musical admiration.
On stage, they were friends and bandmates. Off stage, the lines began to blur. But as the tour wears on, Tommy has to decide how much of himself he can keep at arm’s length and how much he’ll lose if he lets Määnin sink deeper into his destructive impulses.

Summary
Määnin isn’t proud of what he’s become. He’s been doing his best to hide it all, pretend he isn’t a total wreck. Get lost in alcohol, drugs, and that fuzzy feeling you get when you haven’t eaten for too long. He’s determined to stay this way, keep his bandmates out of it.

"You okay, Tommy? You've seemed.. not yourself ever since that interview."
He knew very well that Tommy was trying to downplay the whole thing, his feelings included. But doing that for a prolonged time could not be good for his mental health.
"It's like we said the other day, Määnin e Määnin.. Å jag e jag.. I don't want all of these labels on everything.."
Tommy mumbled, staring at his feet in order to easily avoid looking into Freppa's eyes.
"You seemed so proud and happy on stage a couple weeks ago.. Did something happen between you two? You didn't fight, did you?"
Freppa then expressed even more of his concerns and placed a hand on Tommy's shoulder. Tommy, however, kept looking down and simply shook his head.Bookmarked by Iolean
