- Scott -
The door swung shut behind the cyanette, hitting its frame with a faint thud. Scott exhaled, raking a hand through his snow-dusted hair and kicking off his shoes.
“I’m home!”
The human glanced around the house. A fire was burning steadily in the kitchen, but Ren was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he went back to the camp. Scott sighed, pulling his weapons free from their sheathes and tossing them onto the dining table. Ren’s fur certainly held up against the cold that Scott’s clothes did. The elf stretched his arms; he’d probably go back out soon, but he wanted to change his jacket first.
The cyanette pulled off his blood-spattered jacket, tossing it to the side. He’d had a bit of a run-in with a pair of feral vampires, but he and Pearl had handled them. He made it a few steps towards the stairs when-
A huge, brown blur lunged from behind the couch. Scott yelped as he was (gently) knocked to the ground and pinned there.
Scott looked down at himself to see a huge, lupine creature laying his head on the elf’s torso. Ren’s pale eyes glittered with playfulness and affection.
“You are way too good at that,” the cyanette muttered. It amazed him how well Ren could hide with his enormous form.
Ren whined playfully, his tail whipping back and forth behind him. The wolf’s tongue darted out to lick Scott’s chin, and the cyanette giggled.
“Love, I have to go back out-”
Ren seemed to think otherwise, as he leaned more of his weight onto his boyfriend. Scott’s breath fled him in a huff.
The elf tapped his boyfriend’s muzzle with his palm, and the hellwolf eagerly pranced up, tail wagging faster. Scott sighed dramatically and moved to sit on the floor, his back against the couch.
“You’re really not going to let me leave?”
The wolf laid himself across his boyfriend’s legs as a nonverbal, “Nope.”
The hunter sighed affectionately, and scratched behind Ren’s ears. The hwolf’s tail thumped against the floor like it owed him money.
“Alright, scoot,” Scott muttered, pulling his legs free and burrowing into his boyfriend’s long fur. Ren’s winter coat was thick and warm, especially when the wolf rolled onto his side and let the cyanette lay against his belly. Unsurprisingly, Scott found himself drifting off. Ren was very nice to fall asleep on.
The elf yawned, and one of Ren’s ears flicked. The hellwolf unphased slowly, ignoring his boyfriend’s groan in complaint, and scooped the hunter up into his arms.
“Bed.” He said simply, a demand rather than an invitation.
“Outside,” Scott whined, freeing an arm and making grabby-hands motions at the door.
“You’ve worked enough, and I’ve been deprived of your arms all day, dude.”
“But I have stuff to do…”
“Not anymore, you don’t.” Ren carried the elf upstairs and dropped him unceremoniously onto his- their- bed.
Scott had barely caught his breath when the hellwolf laid down on top of him, nuzzling into the cyanette’s neck and trailing gentle kisses along his cold skin. The elf hummed, and tugged Ren up to press a tender kiss to the brunette’s lips.
Ren chuckled as he pulled back. “Your lips are cold.”
“And yours are warm.” Scott looped his arms around the wolf’s neck and pulled him down again, connecting their lips once more. Ren hummed into the kiss, and rolled them both onto their sides, letting his arms rest at his boyfriend’s waist.
“What happened to going back out?”
“You happened.” The cyanette opened his eyes, his heterochromic gaze locking with Ren’s icy one. “Although, you’re right, I should-”
With an affectionate growl, Ren stopped him and pressed a few more kisses to the elf’s jaw. Scott soaked up the attention, his eyes fluttering shut.
“I love you.” The wolf’s voice was husky and loving.
The elf smiled, cracking open a deep blue eye. “I love you too.”
