Chapter Text
??? POV
Darkness.
That is the first thing that comes to mind when one wonders what 'nothing' is like
But, would that be correct?
Darkness implies an absence of light, would an absence be considered 'something?'
Well, it doesn't matter too much, as within the abyss, a glimmer of light is formed, knit together by a presence higher than it, that fades away just as quickly as it appeared.
and within the glimmer left behind, a conscious forms, woven within the small light as though it was there all along.
though it had just been created, it feels oddly aware? As though it has knowledge of many things, yet nothing at the same time.
A contradiction, one that it could not figure out before something new grabbed its attention.
It had began to float, throughout the abyss the light moves effortlessly. Not weighed down by anything, and with no force to stop them.
Yet, as it began to think more, when it comes to itself, it doesn't know anything at all.
It can see, but there is nothing to see other than a pitch black abyss all around.
It can hear, but there are no noises to perceive besides the faint humming and sparkles of it's own light.
It. . . Could it speak? It couldn't tell, there was no reason to try alone.
Why can it move without restraint? Was there simply nothing to hold it back, or was its flight unable to be impeded? was it even flying?
Now where to move too?
It moves in a big circle before it hears a noise!
Following the noise, It moves until It sees a . . . screen? no, a box. . . a monitor? Glass? It began confusing itself trying to identify what was before it.
It couldn't confuse itself too much before it hears a voice from the . . . object before it
[You found me]
[.......Why? You're already too late. Not much of this world remains]
World? It hasn't seen one of those around here, and how could It be too late? It was only just made
[this will be apparent when you go outside]
Outside? So it is inside something! Valuable information
[This place was never worth saving]
Now the voice was just wrong, It was created knowing it's purpose, it's purpose of saving. . . something? Or was it someone?
[. . . Do you still want to try?]
Something within the sparkle began glowing brighter, if there's even a chance to save. . . whatever it is they are supposed to, they have to try! they know no way else
No way else. . . to what?
[Then remember this: Your actions here will effect Niko]
'Niko'? That's. . . a name, if the sparkle isn't mistaken.
[your "mission" is to help Niko leave]
Ahhh so that explains it! it's purpose is to help this 'Niko'! well, glad that was settled.
The sparkle didn't have much time to ruminate on this newly defined purpose before something began to grow in it's reflection of the object before it, some kind of shell in the image of a Sun!
Trying to move itself moved the reflection as well, confirming this is it's own reflection. But it's eye seemed stagnant, so no matter how it looked, it could not see itself anymore than a floating sparkle
[And most importantly]
the sparkle felt it's very being begin to go through the glass of the screen, being guided gently into the shell as everything faded to white
[You only have One Shot, Angel]
