Summary
Jon finishes his work on the collider for Alchemax with no major malfunctions - a miracle! However, now he's more aimless than ever. When his experimental spider specimen - the spider from dimension-42 - escapes, he tracks down the boy who was bitten and comes face-to-face with Miles Morales, who might be his greatest experiment yet.

Jon cut in front of him, “Wait-! Listen. I know you’re probably feeling alone right now. But I can help.” Again, he cannot help. “Spider-Man just died. He was probably the only other person in this dimension who could ever understand what you’re going through. But I studied this spider. So maybe I can help you figure out what’s happening.”
The boy looked up at him, plush lips forming a thin line. There was a long moment of silence between them. “Can you really help me?” The boy asked. His voice so sweet, so smooth, like a warm hug, it was almost enough to break Jon down and force him to admit to all his nefarious motives.
It was then, in that moment, that moment of pure trust radiating off Miles, that Jon could feel his mind shifting gears. His spider was dead no more.
