    "Hello." Baxter rolled onto his back to scrub the heels of his palms over his eyes. "Are you aware that you unsettle me? You creepy, creepy little woman..."

    "Uh-huh. Look what I made!" She took her embroidery out of her pocket again to show it to Baxter. 

    He picked up the glasses from the nightstand to put them on, then took the project from her. "Is that... me?"

    "Uh-huh!"

    "... Why?"

    "Well, 'cause you're always making the drawings of me, and I wanted to make something of you. It's not done, yet, though." She took the small hoop from Baxter to tuck it back into her pocket. 

    "... Right." Baxter yawned. "What... time is it?"

    " 'Bout 1 in the morning."
