A Teenager's Delusions

Summary:

“Ask Yoo Joonghyuk.”

That was what the ugly Ahjussi had told her. Lee Jihye was determined to ask.

[I think we all moved on from the fact far too quickly, that Lee Jihye must have actually asked YJH about his "relationship" with KDJ in the Theatre Dungeon]

Work Text:

His mental state is more fragile than a child’s. He will be a bit better after a good sleep.

I know him the best in this world.

Ahjussi's face had been blank, but the fondness in his tone was unmistakable. Lee Jihye could discern the sense of familiarity between the two. Clearly, Ahjussi had spent many nights looking after her Master - that was why he could speak so confidently!

Her heart warmed as she looked at her Master. He was still passed out, but she was convinced he would be safe. It was his lover who assured her, after all…

She didn't really know how that ugly Ahjussi had managed to get someone as great as her Master, but no doubt he had his reasons. Her Master, of all people, wouldn't just have a child with anyone!

The Ahjussi had seemed a bit embarrassed, but perhaps recalling… childbirth(?) was painful.

…was it adoption?

Well, never mind. Ahjussi had told her to ask Master, so she would.

Yoo Joonghyuk woke up, and was immediately hit by a foreboding feeling.

At first, he just chalked it up to his throbbing head, but slowly, Lee Jihye's beaming face came into view.

He appeared to be lying on her lap, so he assumed that he was safe, at least for now. His memories were a bit fuzzy, but he could vaguely recall one thing: Kim Dokja.

What the hell had that man been doing? Had he been yelling at him? Yoo Joonghyuk didn't know why, but the heaviness in his heart seemed to subside slightly as he thought of the words Kim Dokja had shouted at him; words he couldn't remember.

'Master?' Lee Jihye seemed to notice him coming around. 'Are you feeling better now?'

Yoo Joonghyuk slowly got up, and just nodded. For some reason, Lee Jihye was radiating restless energy.

'…Is there something you want to ask me?'

He assumed it was probably about him getting his mind taken over, and resigned himself to lie.

'That Ahjussi… Master, you never told me!'

Yoo Joonghyuk looked at her, waiting for her to go on.

'Did you think I wouldn't support it?' Lee Jihye looked determined, all of a sudden. Yoo Joonghyuk's bafflement only grew. 'Master, of course I wouldn't be against your relationship! You shouldn't hide like that! It is nothing to be embarrassed about.'

Relationship? What in the world…?

[Constellation, Demon-like Judge of Fire, vehemently declares her support!]

[Constellation, Prisoner of the Golden Headband, is respectful of your orientation.]

[Constellation, Abyssal Black Flame Dragon, is grumbling but respects your choice.]

[Constellation, Secretive Plotter, is baffled.]

[600 coins have been sponsored.]

Even the constellations…?

What was that man up to now? Was this another one of his odd ploys?

'Speak clearly, Lee Jihye.' If Kim Dokja was trying to manipulate his disciple, after already taking Lee Hyunsung away and killing Kim Namwoon, then Yoo Joonghyuk better be prepared to stop that from happening immediately. 'What did that man-?'

'Don't worry, he left a love letter!' Lee Jihye fished a piece of paper out her pocket, and handed it to him. She was clearly in over her head, and nothing Yoo Joonghyuk would say would convince her.

He took the paper, suspicious. His eyes quickly scanned the short note.

…Ah.

So that was it.

Well, he knew Lee Jihye wasn't the brightest, but damn Kim Dokja. Why had he left all this weird explaining to Yoo Joonghyuk? And how had he even known about his sister…? A cold feeling came over Yoo Joonghyuk's heart and he turned towards the exit immediately.

Lee Jihye caught up with his long strides. 'Ah, Ahjussi isn't here. I think he went to another station.'

She was grinning suggestively.

Yoo Joonghyuk sighed. He hoped the girl would get over this quickly. But something told him he was in for a long, long ride.

'Also, how did you two have a child? Considering you're both… you know…'

For the sake of his disciple and Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk acted like he hadn't heard her.

'You must have adopted, right?'

The door was slammed open so hard, that it splintered immediately.

Damn Kim Dokja.

Notes:

Uriel may be the biggest Joongdok shipper, but Lee Jihye was the first.
