First time in decades.
Hundred feet tall.
Millions of flowers.
Energy secreted over decades.
I used to think we could just
Store up the bad things
For later.
Keep on keeping on.
Building up for decades
Haunted by ghosts of our own making.
But oh darling
Do you think
We can pull down sunlight,
Palm sugar sweet,
Day after year after
Then rocket blossoms.
Fireworks in daylight.
Sustained and fufilled.
