Summary
Jiwoong shrugs, his thoughts going elsewhere for a moment. When his attention returns, he gives Hanbin a onceover, as if seeing him only for the first time. “You look different,” he says, observing him with a smile.
Hanbin, feeling bold, offers a smile of his own. “Well, I’m not just your kid brother’s friend anymore, you know,” he says. “I’m twenty-four now.”
Jiwoong doesn’t reply immediately. It seems like he’s taking in what Hanbin is saying. He seems to turn it over in his mind, considering it. “And I’m sure that means you’re all grown up now, does it?” There’s a teasing lilt to his words that makes Hanbin’s cheeks flush deeper.
“Something like that,” he replies.
Hanbin comes home for the holidays where in his small town, everyone knows everyone. He doesn't expect to run into Jiwoong, his best friend Matthew's older brother. Though Hanbin left a lot of himself in his small hometown, some things, like his teenaged crush on Jiwoong, can't be forgotten.
