Selfishly, he wants to be the only person Hongjoong looks at. He wants to be the only person anyone will look at. He works day in and day out like a dog in that wretched gym, aching and sweating, before inevitably heading to dance practice. The more he hurts, the better he looks. Fatigued muscles cramping when he rolls over in bed the wrong way. The insufferably slow progression of engraving hard lines across his abdomen and simultaneously softening his thighs. Shoveling the most mundane chicken and rice down his gullet just so someone he wants might want him back. Are people truly so vain? Mingi certainly thinks so.
A door shuts, and Mingi can faintly hear sock-clad feet pad softly down the hallway. A series of gentle knocks rap at his studio door.
