Work Text:
Elder Mckinley is a picture perfect mormon, and that made Kevin jealous.
Elder Mckinley never broke the rules.
He was always kind,
He always smiled.
And oh, that smile. If Kevin were to say that it weren't his favourite sight, he'd be lying.
He always kept his gorgeous ginger hair perfect and neat,
And he always wore that pristine, silky blue tie. The amount of self restraint it took for Kevin not to just grab Connor, or, Elder Mckinley, by that tie and pull him in and kiss him, an- wait, turn it off, Kevin. Just like he told you.

Kevin drags himself out of his bed, glaring at Elder Cunningham, who hasn't woken up yet. Aafter all, it is only 5 in the morning. Kevin always wakes up earlier than everyone else, needing time to himself in the mornings before everyone wakes up and all gets ready together. It's kinda weird if your thinking about it too hard, so maybe just don't think at all.
Kevin refuses to call anyone by their names. He doesn't wanna grow too attached, or seem annoying for that matter. Anyways, he bends over to grab his clothes off of the floor, where he had left them last night. He struggles with his tie, as always. His mother used to tie it for him, so he never really learned to tie it properly.

He walks down to the kitchen, not expecting to see anyone in there and just wanting to make his coffee, he sees Elder Mckinley trying to tie his tie with hand in his reflection of the window, because its still dark out. His hair was messy, and he was running his hand through it. He looked utterly exhausted as he drank his coffee, his hand no longer in his hair but around his mug. He spills it onto his white shirt, drowning that baby blue tie of his.
He groaned, leaning over to grab a towel, but he bumps into Kevin on accident quite literally chest to chest.
"Oh- lord-, im sorry, Elder Price. Excuse me, though."
"O-oh, yeah. Sorry."
Kevin starts.
"Elder Mckinley, you look exhausted. When did you go to sleep last night?"
"Absolutely NO clue, but does it really matter? I mean, we all inevitably wake up much too early for our own liking anyways!"
He chuckles, laughing softly to himself as he dabs at the coffee stain on his shirt, though it does more bad than good.
Connor looks up at Kevin, smiling. It's not like his normal, wide grin that seems sort of automatic, no, this smile is warm. It's sweet, it's warm, its so undeniably him. Kevin's convinced he's in love.
Connors eyes scan Kevin's body. His wide shoulders, his gorgeous physique, his pretty brown eyes. He be so nice to just hug, and hold. And so, he does. He hugs the brunette tight, hiding his face in his neck, throwing his arms around his shoulders tightly. Kevin is warm, he's always warm. It's something he can't stand in the summer, but appreciates during the winter. Connor's the complete opposite. He's always cold, no matter how many layers of clothing he wears, but he enjoys it.
Kevin, after snapping out of a daze that has been caused by Connor actually touching him, hugs him back. He snakes his arms around the other man's waist. They fit almost like putty in eachothers arms.

Connor looks up into Kevin's eyes, keeping eye contact for a solid 6 seconds before kissing him. Connor had dreamt about this, about how Kevin's lips would feel against his own. And oh boy are those lips soft.
After a moment of shock, Kevin reciprocates, kissing him back. His hands going up to the back of Connors neck, his thumb brushing against the older boys cheek. Connor let's out a little whine from the back of his throat into the kiss.
Connors hands cup Kevin's face as he hooks his leg around the back of Kevin's knee in desperation (this might generate a weird mental image but it's normal in my head bear with me)
"A-ah- Connor, w-what are you doing?"
Kevin asks, out of breath and fully blissed out
"Kissing you, duh," Connor mutters
"Mnh...keep going, please-"
Kevin drops his hands from Connor's neck, down to his thighs. Picking him up so that he can wrap his legs around Kevin's waist. Kevim carries him down to the ratty old couch in the sitting room, setting Connor onto his lap.
"Ok, now you can continue kissing me,"
The taller boy grins, following with,
"And maybe don't stop."
And thus, they keep kissing, until Connor starts grinding down on Kevin, grinning into his mouth as he watches kevin get more and more flustered and-
"Connor stop."
Connors movements come to a stop immediately.
"Are you ok?"
He gets off of his lap and cups his face.
"Yeah, just..don't really wanna do this right now. Maybe another time. Is..is that ok?"
"Of course, Kevin. Cmon, let's just- I dunno, go for a walk or something. Or we could just sit here and talk. Or read, anything you want, kev"
Kev. God that warms Kevin's heart even more than it usually is warmed when he's around Connor.
"Can we go for a walk?"
"Yeah. Cmon, get up, let's go,"
He takes Kevin's hand, and they go outside for a walk. They look a mess, their hair a mess, and Connor's coffee drenched shirt, but theyre happy, they can be themselves here. In the dark. With everyone asleep.
But hey, it's better than never, right?
