It was another typical day in the Fortress of Meropide. Criminals were working in the workshop, training or getting their daily meal at the canteen.
Kaveh was leaning against a poll by the Dormitory Block. It has been a while since he earned himself a ticket to Teyvat’s most advanced prison, one for the worst criminals to exist. But how did your typical architect land himself in jail?
He was in his own world when he heard murmurs coming from the hallway. Approaching closely and hiding behind a wall not to be noticed, he found two women having a chat. A short woman with lime green hair and a mask, her uniform being cut into the form of a crop top and shorts. Despite that mask, her emotions were pretty much written over her face, fury. On the other side, the woman oppose her was tall with unique ears, dark red hair and her uniform was missing a leg. She was casually having a cigar while listening to the other woman’s rambling, something totally against the rules of the fortress.
Kaveh knew he would be in here for a long while, so he thought to give the chance of making some new friends in this place. But why those two? Neither did he know. He just had a feeling that they weren’t that different.
“I guess I should give it a try if I’m gonna be stuck here. It’s worth the shot”
He took a deep breath and started to walk their direction. He stopped behind the taller woman who clearly felt the sudden air change.
“Hi ladies!” Kaveh greeted. “What’s up?”
“Sorry buddy, we’re not into that stuff” the shorter one answered.
“Wooah. I wasn’t doing any of that. I’m just trying to make some friends.”
“Go find someone else for that pipsqueak” the other replied, not looking back at him and lighting up her cigarette.
“I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but I kinda did hear about a group meeting at the dorms. I wanna join”
“Not a chance!”
The woman turned around to finally gaze at him. She got close to his face staring into his soul with an intimidating stare. “Just who do you think you are?”
