Amy & Ivo
She was so beautiful, the most beautiful mobian Ivo has ever seen. He wasn't thinking much when he first kidnapped her. She was just some girl he could use to keep Sonic at bay. A simple hostage. But the small time they had together he noticed something about her. Unlike majority mobians, she didn't care (or honestly probably didn't even notice) that he was human. When Ivo brought it up she only titled her head confused, looking him up and down.
"Why does that matter?"
Which honestly took Ivo back. No other mobian (aside from Sonic but he doesn't count! >:( ) has just simply not care that he was different. Practically an alien in mobian eyes. It genuinely surprised him.
Ivo also shouldn't have underestimated her. When kidnapping her he just thought she'd cry and beg for her little hero for help. Boy he was totally wrong. Girl was feisty. She had a lot of spunk and far from the damsel in distress. Which gained Ivo's respect.
Course Sonic comes in and saves her yada yada. Over the years Ivo noticed her grow, slowly falling in love with the sweet but badass girl she is today. If we're being honest Ivo had it bad. He loved her smile, the way she always smelled like flowers, how attractive she was when she went into a rage swinging that huge hammer (even if it was really scary sometimes), and most importantly her kindness. She was really just good-hearted. Ivo saw in her eyes that she genuinely saw something good in him. When she tried to reach out to him and convince him he can change.
A part of him would like to change for her, be good for her. But that would simply never happen. Instead he tries to convince her to come to his side. To join him and they can be the ultimate power couple. She shoots him down. Hard. Everytime.
But Ivo knows these things will simply take some time. If a certain blue hedgehog wasn't in the way he'd probably have Amy by now. But of course, she had to like...ugh. Sonic. Which totally makes zero sense. Ivo is clearly the superior choice! But it's cool, she'll see one day that they're meant to be. He'll find a way to win her heart.
Sonic & Ivo
Sonic grins as he successfully got under Ivo's skin once again. He laughs as his face redden, that nose crinkled, it was honestly adorable. Ever since they first met Sonic thought he was adorable. He never understood the mobians that would chase Ivo away or be scared of him. Well...now it makes sense since Ivo destroyed cities and unleash genuine chaos on mobious. But before that Ivo was just as harmless as he was.
Their relationship has changed a lot since they first met. But one thing that stayed the same were Sonic's feelings for his nemesis. He didn't understand his feelings when he was younger. But after the years of teasing and secretly pinning. Sonic finally realized that he liked Ivo in that way. Well, it was actually Shadow who helped him realize his feelings.
Shadow was a bit erm...protective of Ivo. They were technically cousins after all. That meant Shadow kept a watchful eye on him. He noticed how Sonic would bother Ivo on purpose, even when the kid was just minding his own business. After some speculation, Shadow came to a conclusion.
"You like him." He spoke out bluntly.
Sonic was shocked, a bewildered chuckle escaping him. "What? Egghead? I just like to tease is all."
"Cut the crap hedgehog. I see it in your eyes. You're like some love sick puppy. It's pathetic." Shadow shook his head.
Sonic's quills bristled a bit. He scoffs. "O-ok and? What if I did? What, don't want me liking your cousin or something?"
"I mean I'd prefer someone who's more worthy to be with my cousin. Someone who doesn't hide behind taunting and pranks to get his crushes attention. But unfortunately, it's you. "
Sonics muzzled turns a bit pink. "W- what do you know!? No offense but I don't need relationship advice from a guy who broods all the time."
Shadow rolls his eyes. "Whatever. I'm just warning you, don't mess with his heart alright? He's...fragile."
Sonics expression softened. "Yeah, believe me I know. Don't worry ok shads? I... care about him. Really." Shadow only grunts. Giving him one more look down before teleporting away somewhere.
Sonic sighs. He's left alone with his thoughts for a while, eventually realizing he really did like him. He always sorta knew this. His feelings towards Ivo felt different compared to his other relationships.
Sonic takes this in and sighs, accepting it. He sees Ivo in the distance, noticed how his heart beats faster now that he's paying attention. He grins, speeding over to Ivo in a millisecond. He laughed when Ivo jumped, glaring at him. Seeing that cute nose scrunch.
Sonic follows him, suggesting they hang out. Ivo mumbled something, but reluctantly agreed. They were side by side, one could pretend they never had their fall out all those years ago. Maybe they could be like that again.
For now he will keep his crush to himself. Things are fine as they are.
Amy & Shadow
Shadow isn't one to do...romance. He doesn't even know how it happened. But he thinks it started when he first got here.
He awoken on the arc, everything abandoned. The memories of his pain and loss. He won't waste time dwelling on it. Just to say he wasn't exactly in his best state of mind. Till he saw her, like some ghost of spirit. The face of Maria, but it wasn't her. It was some kid he never seen before. He thought it might have just been his mind, grief messing with him. Only to learn he was a member of the Robotnik family. Which made sense, his resembles to Maria was uncanny.
This was it. A second chance for him to right his wrong. Protect what he failed to. It's what Maria would've wanted. Also learning what he did about the kid. It did pull the heart strings a bit. If only he was around before, no one would even think of laying a single claw on him.
Shadow had to thank Amy. She was the one to show him kindness even when he was beating her friends to a pulp. She brought him to his senses, help him connect with lost family. She's... good.
Kindhearted just like Maria. You could possibly say he's form a fondness for her. Amy also seems to have some feelings for him as well. They glace at each other everytime they pass, Amy 'dropping by' to give a gift or something.
It was obvious they were interested in each other. But Shadow will never pursue. It would be betraying his family, which is far more important to him. Amy seems to understand this, not pushing it. Despite this those glances still linger; they would just so happen to bump into each other. That's all they will do for now.
