   Summary

The boy knew the song word by word, and the only way Tom could think of that he’d have heard the song was... watching them. Watching them dance and laugh and love, as he stayed there, hidden, lonely... His heart ached for his boy. For how many years he was with them, and they weren’t with him?
For how many years he had been their son, and they had no idea?

Sonic’s boredom leads to an interruption in their quiet afternoon, but his family wouldn’t have it any other way.
