Chapter Text
Rain dances outside as Collin and Zac are within shelter in the confinements of Collin’s place. Zac sits at the edge of the bed as Collin stands before him. Collin gently grabs Zac’s arm and wraps a ribbon like bandages across Zac’s right injured arm. Zac could only nervously look away, after all eye contact is rather intimate.
While Zac would never proclaim to Collin’s face, he is quite beautiful. His dark-brown curls are perfectly coiling and delicate. His eyebrows while Collin isn’t too pleased about them are bushy and thick, they are lovely Zac admits... Collin would say he has bad taste. Zac’s eyes softly trace Collin’s eyes, while Collin is rather focused on his arm; Zac admires it discreetly.
He never understood his feelings.. Zac gets lost in thought while looking at the man before him..
“Are you gonna keep staring?” Collin asks as he lifts up Zac’s arm inwardly. Zac flinches and mumbles something quick to himself. “AH- sorry… I just uhm.. You know.” He stutters, placing his unused hand on his lap.
He clenches it not too tight, but enough to show signs of nervousness. For a brief moment, Collin stares at Zac looking rather unsurprised, he silently laughs to himself and gazes away after watching Zac’s reaction.
Zac hisses as Collin brushed his hand around an injury. “Oh– Sorry about that I didn’t mean to..” Collin apologizes, looking rather guilty. “N-No! It’s okay! You're just trying to help after all.” Zac says as he quietly fidgets with the cloth of his pants.
Collin finishes bandaging the blue creeper, letting go of Zac’s right arm. “Be careful next time when you swing your axe, alright? I don’t have a lot of medkits in this shithole..” Collin briefly sighs as he walks to his chest.
Zac could only feel ashamed while it wasn’t personal he felt he was at fault. “Sorry..” he mumbles silently. Collin turns around, head tilted to his right: “What’dya say?”.
Zac, flustered, shook his head in a manner of interpreting “nothing”; however Collin did hear his sorrow. Collin picks up his pickaxe, whilst looting in his chest; then he crouches to reach deep within the chest. He pulls out his hat within the chest.
Collin isn’t very organized, he leaves random items within chests. Zac gets a little ticked off of said behavior, but nevertheless he rather not bother.. Collin picks up his raincoat nearby and puts it on, and half-lazily puts on his shoes.
Zac briefly watches and lays himself against Collin’s bed. Collin gets up and walks towards the door, “I’ll be back just gonna mine a bit and perhaps get some food.” Zac nods and feels a pang of coldness in his chest as Collin leaves.
Eyeing him until it was like nothing was there. Zac shuffled in the bed for a bit finding a way to be comfy he grabs the pillow behind his head and hugs it so desperately. He thinks to himself and a slight blush creeps to his face while he muffled his blue fur face into the pillow.
While Zac would want to accompany Collin on his ventures, recently he injured himself after incorrectly swinging an axe whilst trying to kill a chicken. Collin, of course, suggests he should rest, especially after that.
Zac isn’t the type to really argue with others but rather with himself. So he reluctantly agreed to said suggestion, after agreeing Zac could only remember Collin’s face of relief. It was cute.
Zac shifts around again nuzzling himself against the pillow once more and wrapping himself with the blanket. He slowly dozes off silently mumbling to himself..
—
Collin came back after a while, took longer than usual because of the roaming pest entities.. It’s at least a daily occurrence; he's used to it by now, yet it is annoying.
Collin opens the door, turning to see Zac slightly shining as the moonlight strikes. Collin smiles softly at the thought he’s okay. He removes his extra garments, raincoat falling, shaking off the boots, and placing his hat at the crafting table.
Collin walks up to Zac sitting beside the bed. Zac is facing the wall holding the pillow so weakly. He stops to admire Zac, honestly his thought about him is just a loser, really.
Yet he’s quite fond of his presence, maybe because he really didn’t have any familiar company that isn’t an entity.
Collin gently grazes Zac’s fur, soft and warm. He thinks to himself, he ponders in silence while “petting” him. Zac begins softly purring against the touch, Collin is caught off-guard, in a good way tho..
He delicately moved his hand around at Zac. Collin couldn’t help but quietly giggle at the faint purring from Zac. It’s unexpected, he never really knew.. Then Collin lets go and reaches the small spare side of the blanket, laying down. He looks away from Zac as he rests..
However, Zac happened to have woken up at the time Collin came back. He was a nervous wreck. He claws the pillow holding it feebly.
The rain crashed down as Zac shyly panicked to himself, hiding his excitement wrapping his tail around his leg. The sound of rain felt so cool, it drizzled a little roughly on the house. Zac blushed so feverish he quivers, he gnaws at the pillow before him to sway himself..
It’s gonna be a long day tomorrow, for Zac at least.
